Support calendar categories
Categories in the calendar are supported in Outlook for Windows, in the online internet version and are a must for the android app

The more in depth categorize option on the website when on a computer should be available for the app, too.

When I color code items in my outlook desktop calendar I expect to see them color coded in my web and phone apps, but no color codes show on the web or phone. I am considering going back to Google and ditching 365 because this is such a basic function that is missing.
I can see the categories but i cannot add or amend.
I still do not have the ability to add or change categories in Outlook Android app! If it is complete why can't we use it?!?
I still don't have categories. This is not "completed".
Categories are a must not only for the Calendar, but for me especially for e-mails. I use them all the time in Outlook for Windows. Nine for Android supports them, please do so for Outlook as well!
Can't believe this was not in the original design of Outlook never the less not yet added
The few symbols in the Android app that can be used to categorize your appointments by these predetermined classes is not very helpful. I'd like to see a feature like in Outlook for Windows, where you can name your own categories and set colours.

outlook for Android displays categories which have been assigned in Outlook desktop.
but in outlook for Android, no possibility to set a category...
please correct it

Allow for assigning and changing categories just as you can in the web and desktop version

Color categories allow you to easily identify and group associated items in the Android Outlook.
Allow user to mark appointments and messages with the color coded categories available in Outlook's desktop app.
want to be able to make each entry a different color even if they are from the same calendar account
How did Microsoft royally ***** up categories in the outlook app.
Emails don't show categories they are tagged with. And the calendar shows entries with tags but if you try and modify those tags in the app you can't and if you want to create a new calendar entry in the app, you cannot specify a tag for it.
How was this basic functionality missed.
This needs to be fixed asap, as it just shows a lack of intelligence to not include the basic features of outlook in the official outlook app
it will be better, if calendar can set colored plans or categories.
looking forward it.

I see color options under settings but once I add an event, they only appear in one color. With busy lives, it would be a good idea to be able to color coordinate different events based on our choosing.

it would be great to be able to change color catagories. I use different colors for different events and it seems like an obvious thing since every other calendar app lets you do that. Microsoft never does things the normal way, probably why I don't use this calendar app much.
