do not make this mandatory make it an option. if it is mandatory it is the nail in the coffin for me to leave the app

Searching a contact and then copy it to the phone, why can't we do that?

coming from a Windows phone I am somewhat lost, there I could search even company's AD contacts right from the people app, here on android I can't use my o365 contacts natively as it does not offer any integration.

I keep ALL my contacts exclusively in my Office365 Exchange account. Because Outlook for Android does not sync with my phone, I have to use the phone's mail program instead of Outlook.

Microsoft need to learn from past. It can't get acceptability merely by corporates imposing the app on users and instead simply align all its apps with Android defaults for seamless integration
