I would like to be able to edit contact informations in the Android contacts app, but the contacts from the Outlook app are defined as "only-read"

this is a must needed feature required for the android phone. it's very difficult to use Microsoft contacts in Android as they haven't provided any service to integrate it with the phone unlike iPhone.

Compliment Android, don't fight it you will lose. Right now there is no GREAT Android app, you could clean up here, but Outlook for Android has several competing Android apps that are much better. Blue Mail probably one of the better ones.
