Android outlook expand/collapse folders
Once you expand folders in Android app there is no way to collapse them
The only way to collapse is to close and reopen the app.
when we access to emails considered as chat (discussion mode), all are loading when accessing to the latest. sometimes emails are big ones so loading all takes long time and freezes the app until all emails are loaded. I would be better to collapse all emails except the one we access to (last one of the thread) and to load the dynamicly when clicking on them

there mailboxes should be opened/collapsed the same way as on the desktop version. right now it is impossible to find a subfolders and having to scroll and sort thru all folders
For users with a large amount of folders a with subfolders, displaying every single folder fully expanded makes the app feel completely disorganized and very difficult to search through.
Do not have subfolders expanded. It takes a long time to scroll through every folder and subfolders. it needs to be able to expand once you select the folder you want to open or move an email to.

Hundreds of folders when expanded like this. Critical function to stay on top of inbox organizationnand tasks. This needs solved asap or dealbreaker.

as described. if I click "folders" I see every folder, expanded, with no way of collapsing them - so regularly have to scroll a long way
Posted in 2017, now 2020, how is this not already implemented. I scroll for ages to find the one I need. also add a search for folder.

This is essential to user mobile productivity
The app currently does not have a collapse command for folders (and their subfolders) organised under the main Inbox. This leads to a very hard to use long list of subfolders which is not user friendly at all.
Folder collapse will be very useful as I use may folders and sub-folders to organize my client base. And when I'm on the go I need to use this up to find the latest Communication with that client and i just got lost in the app scrolling through all my folders and sub-folders as they are appearing all in once.
replicate on the app the structure of the laptop version

This is very dumb. I have many users in my organization, sales people who classify by customer. They don't like using search, they prefer being able to classify like this. Not being able to collapse the tree is really colossally annoying for them. It's hard to convince users to switch over from their usual mail apps when Microsoft can't even sort out basics like this. The adding photos as file attachments is another one. Get it sorted for the love of Jesus Christ on a scooter.
The folders in my Outlook for Android have never collapsed since my company started using the App. Since the sort is in alpha order, it is a real pain to sift through all the sub-folders to find something like "Material & Logistics."
Would be nice to collapse and open folders and subfolders so you dont end up with a long flat list of folders.
2020 and collapse email folders is not possible in outlook for android it's a pity

Hi. I really need to collapse email folders. Also it would be great if I could completely read such folder or subfolder names, which have a little bit long name (I mean that in inbox folder list, folders with long names aren't completely displayed)
I am an IOS Outlook App user. It drives me and my colleagues nut every time we want to navigate an email from our phone!!! As I have hundreds of folders and sub-folders in my Outlook to keep my emails organized. Please and please solve this problem in the next update....
I can't believe there is no easy to collapse folders in the android outlook app. Like everyone here I have to scroll for ages to get to where I want to be. It won't be a difficult bit of code. C'mon, get it sorted. Thanks

I have a large archive folder for previous years' projects. Every project has a folder with subfolders. Unfortunately, "Archive" starts with the letter A and the desktop version won't allow me to relocate the folder. That means on the mobile app I have to scroll through my entire archives before getting to relevant folders for the current year. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update the Android mobile app to allow collapsed folders!
Outlook mobile app does not have facility to collapse in email folders navigation.
Unnecessary time is wasted while on move to sort the inbox into my respective folders.
