update Outlook contacts from phone

I am struggling with contacts update. When I change something on the phone, it somehow reverts to the version on the server instead of incorporating the changes

    had to switch to Gmail because I couldn't change a phone number or remove dupe contacts way to fail the basics ms

    I pay Microsoft each month for Office 365 but I get less than what provide google for free in contacts and agenda management. Micosoft move you body now!

    Because of this I can't get my contact uploaded into my car list. So when someone call me. I see the number and the contact name attached to it

    Google or the android app take over for Outlook, but I want my phone to use outlook and update outlook. instead I have a separate phone acct for android or Google (who knows, outlook doesn't even brand it's screens, can't tell who system messages come from). would love my phone to work same as my pc!

    Outlook is doing a much better job of managing other contact managers like Google contacts, but the search functionality is weak for these records. it seems to search only the name field. either an option should exist to search other fields or when an initial search returns a nul set it should automatically search again using all available text field.

    This is a very simple task that can't be performed on a mobile. Takes much time out my day looking for cotacts.

    why doesn't outlook find a contact whose email address is in the contact list on my galaxy note 8 android phone. I have to look it up in the phone's contact app then copy it into the outlook email SEAMFULL!!!!!

    Yes, I need to be able to add Contacts within the Outlook app.
