Make "Focused"/"Other" inbox feature optional.
I'm not a big fan of Outlook sorting my email for me and would like an option under settings to revert to pre-focus style inboxing. I can appreciate that others may like this feature, so I think making it optional is the best of both worlds.
Thank you for using Outlook Mobile and sharing your ideas with us. We really appreciate your support.
It is currently already possible to to turn on/off the Focused Inbox in the Android app, to do so, open the outlook app on your mobile device > Tap on the gear icon on the upper right corner> scroll down to the focused inbox option and
tap the toggle switch to turn it off.
If you are needing to turn off the Focused inbox option on the Outlook.com website you can do so by logging into the desktop portal then:
1. Go to settings in the top right corner of your screen. On the next screen, look in the left panel.
2.Scroll down until you see a heading titled Layout.
3.Listed under layout you should see an option for Focused Inbox.
After you’ve clicked on Focused Inbox you will be given the option to “sort messages into Focused and Other” or “Don’t sort messages”.
4.After selecting one of these options make sure to click the save button at the top of your screen then click options on the top left to return to your updated inbox.

it's is a huge inconvenience having to troll through two inboxes now instead of one. it very time consuming. because of this feature I have missed important messages/ emails.

currently outlook puts emails from the same sender into both focused and other. I want to select where my emails go.

And make it possible to make some mail going to spam able to be easily changed to not spam so it will go to my inbox. Many emails that are not spam keep going to spam and I never see them!!!
John Elliot commented
don't see the point in this feature. just splits your emails so you don't know where they are

I am in the office more now , so have gotten used to the focused style layout. it now confuses me more not having it on the Android app! sorry to be a turncoat but I would like the option to have it if possible
I don't like it, I want to create my own folders myself and sort my own emails accordingly.

no need to reinvent the ever-churning email wheel

We should have the option to choose "Focused" because it doesn't work for everyone the same. Most of us need to see all e-mails instead of having to switch between the two.
