show the number of emails on icon
We recently added the ability to have a badge count of all your unread conversations right on the app icon. To enable/disable this feature please go to the app settings> scroll down to badge count> from here you can choose to show a badge count for all emails, focused only, or turn it off completely.
This feature is currently available for Samsung, Sony, and LG devices as well as for users running the Microsoft Launcher on their Android device.
Having trouble with these features? Let our in-app support team know by going to settings> help & feedback > contact support. We are here to help!
Thank you again for your support, we look forward to hearing more of your ideas very soon.
All the best

I can't get my. Emails to be numbered , I don't have the apps badge count and stuff so how do I do it . I have a samsung galaxy s20 phone which I am just getting use to .
For me, the message count is UNhandy. For starters, in my world it is NEVER zero. I'd like to move this app into the same Group that houses my other Communication Apps (SMS, Social Media, et cetera); but, groups on my phone show a "count" every time one of the contained Apps has an unread message. Moving the OutLook App into that group renders the Group Count Flag USELESS.
I tried following the instructions for turning off the count on the icon, but there are only two (two) options: "All"; and, "Focused InBox"! Since these are RADIO Buttons, I can NOT deselect both; I am STUCK with message counts on the App icon!
What can I do?

You could add, like a red symbol with how many received emails we got.
when you get on the phone it is easy to get lost on other things before you notice your emails...

Badge count not working for my emails in Outlook. It is ticked as enabled for all mail. Tried focus and all.
Really need this function to speed my day up.
Could you add a setting for badge count to represent new emails instead of unread emails in the iOS version of the app?
When I work with email on the mobile app I regularly leave emails unread to work address them when I'm in the office - this makes the badge count less helpful. Other apps that I've used (Blackberry Work for example) allow the badge count to be new emails, so badges disappear after the app has been opened and the emails presumably seen, even if they remain unread.

This depends on your launcher and I can confirm it works with Microsoft Launcher.
Outlook only offers this option if your launcher supports it and many don't, seemingly the stock launchers.

show e-mail count on each outlook folder
My outlook icon on iPhone shows more than 6 unread emails and when I go in Read them I always have 6 less than the number shown. When I close the app it goes back to 0 unread emails. Next time I get an email, it shows 7 unread emails even though there is only 1. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

Please implement a badge on the Outlook icon that displays the number of *new* emails in the inbox.

The icon badge is not auto-updated for the unread number of emails when a new email comes in. I have to open outlook app and then close it to manually update the unread icon badge number. it's a bad experience to do that.
Please enable also for stock Android
