Outlook for Android

    • make it more obvious how to log out. How do I log out?

      I want to log out and secure my emails
      I guess I'm not alone so why not add a Log Out feature?

            Hi there,

            Thank you for using Outlook Mobile and sharing your ideas with us. We really appreciate your support.

            It is currently already possible to set an out of office message in the app for Exchange and Office 365 account.

            To setup out of the office replies, tap settings > tap your Office365 or Exchange account > tap Automatic Replies > toggle the switch on. 

            You can choose:

            1.) Reply to everyone

            2.) Reply only to my organization

            You can also set up a different messages for your organization and external senders.

            Tap done once you have set up your automatic reply.

                This feature is already available in the latest Outlook for Android. Please tap on the e mail>Three dots on top>Select Move to a Folder>Tap on the + Icon on top right. You can create and name a new folder to move the desired e mails.

                      • allow the ability to delete email addresses from the Android version (deletes with one click on desktop but can't delete from phone)

                        Went to send an email to a colleague from my phone but his old email address popped up as suggested and cannot be removed. it is very confusing as his new email is very similar and it's easy to accidentally send to the old one... which is a huge problem when you've changed jobs to work for that person in a new email address...

                          There are a few quick and easy way to delete emails from the Outlook app.

                          1. Delete button in reading view.

                          Simply tap on the “trash” icon on the upper right corner of the screen to delete the email that’s currently open.

                          2. Swipe to delete.

                          Swipe the email to the left. By default, this will archive the email. However, you can customize Swipe Options in the Settings and change the action to Delete.

                          3. Bulk delete.

                          This is very useful when you want to delete multiple emails at once. To do this, long press on an email until a checkmark appears at the left of it. Once you’ve selected multiple emails, you’ll then be able to perform the following actions: deleting, marking as read, archiving. A “Select…

                              Conversation or Thread view can be disabled in our app. To do so, please go to your App Settings page, scroll down to Organize Mail by Thread then toggle it OFF.

                                • Provide a schedule to turn off notifications during weekday nights. I don't want to set it everyday as suggested in answers elsewhere.

                                  Currently there is no way to snooze notification during weekday nights in an automated fashion. We can do it for work hours and also during weekends. Suggested answer elsewhere is to set it manually each day which is not convenient.

                                    You can now temporarily turn off your email notifications using the new Do not Disturb feature of the app. To do so simply tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the top left corner> Next tap on the bell icon next to the email address displayed or go to the “All Accounts” tab to set up do not disturb for all accounts connected to the app > Next choose the timed or scheduled option that best suits your needs.

                                        It is currently already possible to perform bulk action in the app. To do this, long press on an email until a checkmark appears at the left of it. Once you’ve selected multiple emails, you’ll then be able to perform the following actions: deleting, marking as read, archiving. A “Select All” option will also appear in the top right corner.

                                      • Allow the separation of accounts from the combined inbox. Just like it is on the PC app. Personal email account separate from work account.

                                        To keep personal accounts as combined, but keep other accounts like work separate. The PC app has this feature, please bring it to the mobile app.
                                        It will save me having to use two email apps.
