  1. Add option for automatically removing old mail items

In previous versions of Outlook for Mac, you could set an option by mail folder to automatically delete items over a certain age. This was useful for items like advertisements or social media posts where older items were stale and automatically deleting them had no risk.

  3. Upon reading email, please mark as read.

When I click on an email and read it, I expect the email to be marked as read. It is not.

Instead, when you close the email, it's marked read. This is not very intuitive.

  8. Automatic Events from Emails is blocking 80% of my reading pane, and there is no way to turn this off. I'm on a Mac.

Turn off Automatic Events in Email (on Macs) to make it easier to read emails.

  9. mail expiry

Please include a confidential mode like GMAIL which enables the users on MAC to set an expiry date to the mails they send to receipients. For instance if am sending a mail tp Mr.X, it contains sensitive information (like bank statement) i want to set an expiry date after which Mr.X wont be able to view the message. Am talking about MAC users

  10. Print calendar in dark mode with black type

Currently when printing a calendar in dark mode, the type is reversed and doesn't appear on the print. Please correct so that printing in dark mode provides a color print out but with black type on white (or color).

  14. Set Automatic Replies in Outlook for Mac app

I cannot find the 'Set Automatic Replies' feature anywhere in the Outlook app for Mac OSx. As a result, I need to set these automatic responses on the Outlook web service or on my iPhone app. When I do set up automatic responses (with a set expiration date) on OWS web or my phone, they seem to turn off without warning anyway after a few hours. Not convenient!

  15. When I see calendar entries for the week, the width of current day should be increased compared to other days.

Then I see calendar entries for the week, the width of current day should be increased compared to other days.
    This helps in 2 ways
    1) focuses on current day
    2) Increases width on the most widely used entry.

Another option would be to allow the user to modify/save the width per day.

  16. Use a slightly darker color for the time tick mark labels for additional timezones in the calendar

When both a local and additional timezones are displayed in the calendar, the additional timezone time can easily be mistaken for the local timezone, probably because we read from left to right?) This happens to me enough times that I feel that having the additional timezone tick mark labels displayed in a slightly darker color than the local timezone tick mark labels would be of great help to avoid mistaking the additional timezone time for the local time.

  17. High importance button and sensitivity

Have high importance button and sensitivity (Private, confidential etc.) in new emails and meeting invites so that these can be marked accordingly.

  18. A setting for choosing the display name syntax for contacts.

At the moment there isn't a possibility to change the display name. Outlook for MAC has always the syntax "given name" and "surname" but it would be very helpful to change this because it has also an impact to my Outlook for Windows 10.

  19. Please update Office software to include the opening of the next item, immediately following the movement of the first email.

There is a major difference between the Windows version and the macOS version of the Office software. In Windows, when you file, delete, or move an email, it automatically opens the next email (if this user as setup this feature). It's hard to imagine that this could be done for Windows, but not for macOS.

  20. Auto Trim e-mail addresses when pasted into a contact

When an e-mail is pasted into the contact field it looks like this: > Outlook should auto trim off each side of the e-mail address so it works in this field.
