  1. Reset how moving emails to folders use to work in the past.

I use to click and drag an e-mail to a folder to store it. This action always made a copy of the email so I could place copies in a few different folders when applicable. Now, in v16.45, the same action is basically a "move" and not a "copy." It's cumbersome to have to use the Option key in addition to clicking and dragging to now perform the copy function. At least let the user decide in preferences which way they want the default to work - as a copy or as a move.

  3. Reinstate the ability to search for Out Of Office

Outlook has a feature search which I rely on to find features, rather than attempt to recollect which menu or ribbon something is buried in. This is how I would set up my out of office alerts. But in the new version 16.45, the search no longer finds it - because it’s been renamed as Automatic Replies.

Please add an alias for all features you rename, otherwise people will assume you got rid of them.

    Thanks!

  6. Stop skipping a week when scrolling ahead in meeting scheduler

If I'm scheduling a meeting with someone and want to look further out on their calendar as I check availability, when I scroll past one week from the original date, it suddenly skips an entire week and then continues scrolling. So if I click on tomorrow's date of Thur, Feb 4 and then start scrolling through to see when people are available to meet, it will scroll to Wed, Feb 9, and then suddenly skip a week and show Wed, Feb 17. Then I can keep scrolling into the future, but I miss that entire next week unless I scroll…

  8. Don't use the mail.app "send" shortcut for "discard"

The macOS Mail keyboard shortcut for sending a message is Command_Shift+D. Using the same shortcut for the exact opposite, discarding a draft, is incredibly frustrating for people using muscle memory.

  9. Support Dark Mode in Reading Pane

Please make the preview pane appear dark in dark mode. The current implementation hurts the eyes and is woefully inconsistent with the rest of the application appearance.

  10. Restore basic functionality (add-ins) for the New Outlook for Mac

The new outlook for Mac seems to be missing some basic functionality that was available in the old version, in the form of Add-ins. Some Add-ins that are essential for my work are missing, and trying to re-enable them results in the error message"Sorry, we can't complete this operation right now. Please try again later". It seems crazy to me that Microsoft would release 'upgraded' software that lacks functionality available in the previous version.

I suggest enabling shared tasked in outlook for Mac. I do not understand why outlook is not uniform between the PC and Mac platforms.

  12. Ensure All day appointments show correctly on the meeting scheduling screen

When scheduling a meeting any all day appointment does not have the UTC offset correctly applied.

In my case I'm in the timezone UTC+10 when scheduling meetings on a day that I have an All Day Appointment the appointment appears to begin at 10 am running through to 10am the following day. This is obviously NOT correct and is very confusing to the user.

The all day appointment should show correctly based on the UTC plus offset time so that it shows correctly for the scheduler in their own time zone.

  15. BUG - Outdated info on email window that was opened before

When double clicking on an email received today, a window opens with the email showing a received date/time of: Today at HH:MM. If that window is left opened in the background and checked again a few days later it will still say Today despite being received several days ago.

  16. Render WMZ FIles

I work in a corporate environment where most users are on Windows systems. Several of my colleagues send me emails with embedded WMZ images (WMZ is a compressed version of the WMF vector graphics format). Outlook for Mac is unable to render these images, which makes reading those emails impossible. I have to start Parallels and open Windows outlook to read them.

  17. To show search results count

When I do an advance search, I want to know what is the count of emails matching my search criteria, There should be a number showing "Matching results: 150" and if there is pagination, where all the results cant be loaded at once, There should be a message "Matching results: 150 of 1000", something like this.

Its a basic feature, whenever a user searches something he wants the count of matches.

Example: I got ticket-emails, I want to know the number of ticket-emails i got

There is no way to get the count today I Outlook Mac

  20. Address book buttons when composing new messages

When composing a new message, the address book button is on the right side of the To, CC and Bcc fields, on the opposite side of the header names (To, CC, Bcc). Depending on the size of the message window, the address book button can be very far from the header name. These buttons also make the To, CC, Bcc fields more cluttered.

Update the New Message window so the "To", "CC" and "Bcc" are actual buttons which can be clicked on to open the address book. This is how the New Message window works in Outlook for Windows.
