  1. Switch to "Answer all" when answering a mail.

    If you decide later to send the mail to cc recipients as well, you have to start anew :-( Apple Mail has the option to automatically include all recipients even after you started answering the mail, this is very helpful.

  2. suffix / company name display

    Show the suffix or alternatively the company name when you type email address in the to field.
    All my contacts have the suffix field populated with [Country-Company name]
    In this way you see at once in an email if you selected the right person.
    in apple mail this is already implemented. You see BTW the prefix and suffix;

    The other advantage is that you see in your inbox the company names as well.

    An alternative would be to select in the preferences the fields you like to actively display.

  3. Change Dismiss button to set Reminder to None

    Change the Dismiss button in the Reminders window to actually dismiss the reminder by setting it to None. This would match the behavior of the Windows version of Outlook. The current and past versions for Mac leave the reminder time set so you can be reminded of past appointments you have dismissed erroneously.

  4. Czech language support

    Many customers in Czech Republic would love to see full Czech language support = localized interface and grammar check. Both features are available in Office for Windows

  5. Allow linking between Appointments and People's Contact without invitation

    Allow the possibility to link appointments from the calendar to people's contact without having to invite them to a meeting as in Outlook for Windows existent for years. You would expect that Outlook 2016 being the first real improvement of Outlook for Mac since 5 years would gradually become more similar to the Office version for Windows, but instead it still misses the functionality of the later in many areas and looks as ****** as before - despite the desperate seemingly attempt to introduce a more colorful design.

  7. Add Business Contact Manager as in Outlook for Windows.

    This is an important feature for sole traders and small business users that don't require full featured CRM. Without it current Windows BCM users can be inhibited from transitioning to Outlook for Mac without using third party apps.

    Recently purchasing Office 365 for Mac I was hopeful that I could return to Outlook after many years of using the separate Apple products of Mail, Address Book and Calendar:
    (1) Applications installed on my Mac and iOS devices without issue
    (2) Basic setup straight forward

    Allow Delegates to add new contacts to their delegaters contact list, so when I am using ScanSnap for Macs I can send my bosses contacts straight to his contacts on Outlook instead of mine

  10. Make Auto Format controllable and intuitive

    The Auto Formatting of lists with Bullets is infuriating and non intuitive. Users need to control presentation. It is impossible to create a bulleted list and document presentation, using MAIL/Word. Users should have complete control in each document.

    Type Bullet / Bullets in HELP , there is no return search result.

    And while you're at it, type " i.e." into a document - it is painful.

  11. to allow the list panel to have simple columns to sort data, just like Outlook in windows

    I want to get the 3 panels view: left, middle, reading panel on the right, just like on Windows.

    I want the middle panel to have multiple colums: From, date, flag, title.

  12. common folder

    I think it would be handy to have folders that two or more accounts could use. For instance my wife and I have email accounts on this computer. We are moving to another house. She gets email from the realtor. I get email from the Bank, etc. etc. We need a common folder where she could place the mail from the realtor and I could place the mail from the Bank. We would have one folder to search to obtain the mail we need to reference or use.

  14. Status bar in Search Folders

    The status bar in Search Folders used to show "Connected to.." etc information, however in 2016 it doesn't.

    Why isn't that status bar uniform across the client?

  16. Create links when replying and contacts are in my address book

    When replying, if contacts are present as cards in my address book, the header of the original message does not contain links, but just plain names.
    Example: if card is not in address book, I get in the original mail header:

    "mailto:person@domain.com"

    If this is saved in address book, I get in the original mail header:

    "Full Name"
