  1. Unquoted inline responses on quoted or indented replies

The new editor rolled out a month or so ago removed the ability to respond inline to indented/quoted messages without having your own responses be indented/quoted.

This has been a basic functionality in all email clients since indented/quoted replies were invented. Please bring back the ability to insert un-indented new lines in quoted messages.

  4. Complete List View of Calendar Items

In Windows version it is possible to see the complete list of calendar items in list view. In Mac version, this list view is only available by day, week, or month. Complete list of calendar items is useful to see recurrent items, clean old or future items, sort, filter, etc.

  5. I suggest include Microsoft Exchange Approval Assistant feature

In my company I am moderator of some email groups. Does not exist functionality approve moderation mail. I wish it were included in a new version.

  6. Add more keyboard shortcuts - create new appointment

Something I miss from Windows Outlook now that I am on Mac is a quick way to create an appointment. Control-Shift-A did it wonderfully on Windows. On Mac, first I have to switch to the calendar mode and then I can create a new item and then switch back to previous mode. So, I can do it with Cmd-2 + Cmd-N <enter appt data> and Cmd-1. That is bulky and slow switching modes.

  7. Notify to read/open attachment

When there is an attachment with an email,
    - emphasise that there is an attachment with colors
    - Alert or Notify readers if they close the email without opening the attachment
    - Priorities to attachments, similar to email priorities

    This could avoid:
    - Writing "Please find the attachment...!!!" in every email with attachment
    - Missing out important attachments without opening it

  8. To set the cursor focus to the first line when redacting or answering messages on Outlook.

To set the cursor focus to the first line when redacting or answering messages on Outlook. Right now, the cursor starts kind of "inside" the signature, instead of the first line of message.

  9. change sender (to noreply...)

Would be nice to be able to mark emails sent as no-reply to force customers not to reply to this email directly.

  10. Improve support for plain text email

If I reply to a plain-text message, the reply should display any included text prefixed by "> " and in a fixed-width font. Ideally, the prefix and the font should be customizable.

  11. Outgoing email

Allow to interrupt an email from going out and edit it. There's no outgoing box like the previous version Outlook 2010 for mac.
    Please bring this back.

    Thanks.

  12. Allow "save as" for saving attachments to save in any folder (like Windows Outlook)

Allow "save as" command to save an attachment to any folder - as it works in Windows Outlook (Mac version has limited list)

  13. Have autocorrect provide some visual feedback

Have Outlook Autocorrect provide some visual feelback that it is going to change a word. Instead of just changing it w/o any notice at all. Try typing "Nagios" into the subject line then tab to the email body. Done quickly there is no notice that it's changing "Nagios" to "Nag"

  15. Paragraph setting

With the recent update, the emails I compose have an added 10pt 'after' spacing each time I hit "enter" for a line break. This default cannot be changed and it is not how I want my emails to look. The paragraph settings is not accessible via the ribbon or the tool bar - each time i have to select the text and hit right click to get it changed. Very inefficient and annoying.

  16. capture screenshot

Right click during email composing had an option to capture screen images in previous version of outlook. Upgrade removed this. Get back that feature.

  17. Support for Sync of Drafts from iOS Devices

Its as simple as it sounds, start an email on your iPhone/iPad/iTouch and save it in your drafts, have it pushed into your drafts box on desktop so you can finish your email on a separate device.

Sometimes you start writing on the go and want to complete your art on a more powerful client...why not?

  18. Categories

To be able to mark several appointments, mails etc. and then click ONE TIME at ONE category. Foolish to remove that from 2011 version, so you have to click one at a time.

  19. Make Date Received Format Configurable

The default format necessitates keeping the column size fairly wide in order to see what time the message was received. I would like the format to be configurable so that I can reduce the column size. Some examples:
    - Show the time without the date & day (1:16 PM)
    - Show the date & time but not the day (8/24/16, 1:16 PM)
    - Show a different format for the date (Wed 8/24, 1:16 PM)

  20. Add an option to have Outlook send a daily/weekly summary of events and tasks that has essential details for offline use.

This could include Event or Task title, time, location, event organizer contact info and the content of the event in case it has webex type details.
