  2. Document Outlook for Mac & iOS Setup Scenarios

Recently purchasing Office 365 for Mac I was hopeful that I could return to Outlook after many years of using the separate Apple products of Mail, Address Book and Calendar:
    (1) Applications installed on my Mac and iOS devices without issue
    (2) Basic setup straight forward
    (3) Was happy when I saw my contacts from iOS Address Book showing up in Outlook on the iOS device. Tried to keep these in sync, i.e. making mods in Address Book and having them show up in Outlook - NO GO. Tried to edit People in Outlook (those linked to Address Book -…

  3. Proper SharePoint integration with site mail boxes

SharePoint integration with site mail boxes where user can move emails from the mailbox to the document libraries. Windows can do this since many years. Microsoft says that this lack is due to a missing SharePoint connection that yet has not been thought of by the Mac team at Microsoft.

  4. exchange server

Make Outlook compatible with Exchange server versions below 2010SP2.
It is really ridiculous that on IOS and Windows older versions work, but not on the latest Mac version. For professional use this is a no-go.

  5. Allow Delegates to add new contacts to their delegaters contact list

Allow Delegates to add new contacts to their delegaters contact list, so when I am using ScanSnap for Macs I can send my bosses contacts straight to his contacts on Outlook instead of mine

  6. Make Auto Format controllable and intuitive

The Auto Formatting of lists with Bullets is infuriating and non intuitive. Users need to control presentation. It is impossible to create a bulleted list and document presentation, using MAIL/Word. Users should have complete control in each document.

Type Bullet / Bullets in HELP , there is no return search result.

And while you're at it, type " i.e." into a document - it is painful.

  7. to allow the list panel to have simple columns to sort data, just like Outlook in windows

I want to get the 3 panels view: left, middle, reading panel on the right, just like on Windows.

I want the middle panel to have multiple colums: From, date, flag, title.

  9. Change the title bar color to red or gray when offline

There have been occasions where I have been using outlook offline for days without realizing it. I have had to get in the habit of checking the bottom right corner for the "Connected to:" text to verify I am online.

It is disastrous to receive emails/calendar events days after intended receive date, so having some type of obvious indicator that no mail is being received/sent would be helpful.

  11. Flatten the UI to match OSX

The current OSX verison of Outlook still feels like the previous version on the UI front with the icons and buttons inside the app. I would suggest using a similar set of icons that the Windows version uses and give it a flatter look at better alines with OSX.

Additionally improve the notification box UI so that it is flatter, and an overall cleaner look.

  13. print

Correct landscape print feature for month view calendar. When trying to print out a monthly calendar, and changing to landscape view, the 'header' area correctly extends width-wise to fill the landscape page vs. the portrait width. However, the 'data' area (the actual days and entries in those days) remains constrained to the portrait width. The only way to print a (readable) landscape calendar appears to be with a screen grab print..

  15. Stop the 'move email to folder' dropdown from resizing.

Since the last update, the drop down where I enter which folder to move emails to resizes horizontally to the longest text string. It's also very delayed in this animation so it takes a while to archive emails from my inbox.

  16. Add 2 Step verification log in

New apps should already include 2 step verification log in method. I was confused on how to log in at the beginning but remembered I had to use an application password for my Xbox. But new commers or people who have no idea app passwords exist will have problems.

  18. All folders are NOT up to date

There is a status message at the bottom of the window "all folders are up to date". it is usually a lie. As soon as it is updated, other items can be available on the server and do not appear until the next time outlook polls for data. it is particularly galling when there are connection or other issues that prevent outlook from getting recent items.

it would be better to say "updated " and a time stamp. that way we know if it was updated recently without the lie that things are still up to date. :)

  19. common folder

I think it would be handy to have folders that two or more accounts could use. For instance my wife and I have email accounts on this computer. We are moving to another house. She gets email from the realtor. I get email from the Bank, etc. etc. We need a common folder where she could place the mail from the realtor and I could place the mail from the Bank. We would have one folder to search to obtain the mail we need to reference or use.
