  2. Task names in Outlook for Mac should match task names in Windows Outlook

When I rename a task in Windows Outlook, the task's old name is still the one displayed in Outlook for Mac. I like to rename tasks like (priority 1) followed by the task name, or (priority two) followed by task name, and when I do that on my Windows Outlook my Mac version of Outlook never displays the task's new name.

  3. iCloud syncing Notes & Reminders (Tasks)

Is it possible to include iCloud syncing with Notes and Reminders (Tasks) as well in Outlook 2016 for Mac? I see CalDAV and CardDAV syncing or something to like it is being considered for Outlook 2016 for Mac to sync Contacts and Calendars with iCloud.

  4. Add a status update to a task

A more full featured task management tool would really make Microsoft Office an indespensible business productivity tool. Right now the task management tool is almost a useless tool. The two must need feature are delegating tasks which already is a popular request on this forum.

The second must have feature is a status update feature. This feature would allow a user to provide a date/time stamp status update for their own task. Additionally, and even more critical, would be to allow a user, who was delegated a task, the ability to provide a status update on a task that was…

  5. Filtering of Tasks based on Category

I would be great to be able to filter tasks based on their category. The list could be dynamic based on what tasks you have, like the filters in Excel.

The use case it that I use outlook for several accounts. Personal and work. I would like to filter out the "Personal" tasks from various accounts (some personal comes to work account) during my working hours and vice versa.

    Thanks.
    Chris.

  7. Setting up follow-up for Multiple tasks on custom date

Please allow changing due dates of multiple tasks to a custom date. Right now when we select multiple tasks>>>>>Follow-up>>>>>Custom date is grayed out as this feature is not available.

  8. Undelete tasks

Provide for a way to undelete/recover deleted tasks, like perhaps don't permanently delete them, instead send them to the trash folder when deleted, where they can be recovered.

  9. allow one to create a new task by dragging an email to the task icon

In earlier versions of Outlook for Windows I used to be able to create a new task by simply dragging an email to the task bar. Doing so would open a new task window and I could use the content of the original email to set values like due dates. It was really handy

  11. allow for complete freedom to manually sort tasks according to needs

Sometimes you don't need/want set Due dates or times, meanwhile new developments in a work day/week are cause for reprioritizing and changing the order in which you digest and move through your tasks. A task list can be an at-a-glance organizational guide and being able to remind yourself what you need to work on next by moving that to the top of the list is extremely useful.

Having to change dates or times relative to other tasks seems like an extra step that maybe should not be mandatory for processing information.

  12. be able to create tasks and notes from Apple Mac for Google Mail

I am using Outlook on Mac for Google Mail but currently I am unable to create tasks or notes. It would be great if we could use that feature too as that would keep it all centralised in one place as opposed to having to use different tools.

  13. easier use of tasks like Windows

I suggest you have outlook task in Mac link to windows tasks. Also be able to save emails as attachments in tasks similar to Windows.

  16. Add Tasks follow up options

Add these “Follow up” options for Tasks: “in 3/4/5/6 days”. Also/alternatively, make “Custom date” selectable for multiple listed tasks simultaneously.

  17. Sort by multiple columns on tasks, such as by date then by priority

I want to be able to sort/group tasks by multiple columns similar to how it works on Windows. For example, I like to see the tasks by due date and then high priority at the top and low priority at the bottom on those dates.

  18. classifying tasks

I would suggest that you could sort tasks by more than one criterion, just as you can in Oulook for Windows

  19. Add the ability to choose which account a task is automatically created in

I use tasks on my iphone, and the task manager on Outlook to coordinate my tasks with my email. I need to ensure that when I create a task, it will automatically go into the account that will sync with tasks on my iphone. This would help greatly!
