  1. Name an appointment without having to open it

Until a recent update, when I created a new appointment on my calendar, I could name it right there in the calendar, it would select the text "New Appointment" and I could replace it. Now I have to open the new event to edit the title. Please restore previous functionality.

  2. I suggest you enable calendar browsing by mouse/trackpad, as at the moment it's only possible clicking on the forward backward button.

I suggest you enable calendar browsing by mouse/trackpad, as at the moment it's only possible clicking on the forward backward button. Ironically you can browse forward and backward in the calendar by mouse/trackpad when you schedule a new meeting or open an existing one, but not in the main calendar view.

  3. Search Total Time

When I search for an event in my Outlook Calendar, I see columns for the Subject, Location, Start, End, and Recurrence Pattern.
Is it possible to add a tab for “Total Time” of the event (ex. 2.5 hr.)? Or to see a total number of hours for the event when searched?
Would be helpful to search how much time has been spend on specific events or projects with reoccurring key words in the subject.

  4. Add support for responding to iCal Calendar notifications.

When an iCal user sends a calendar invite, ability to accept or reject invitation via Outlook is missing. Please, add support for that.

  5. Meeting Room based on availability

May I request that (like in the iOS Outlook app and the O365 mail) when in Outlook for Mac, when scheduling a meeting, that the default list of meeting rooms shows ONLY the meeting rooms that are available at the time of the meeting? This would be amazing! I’m happy to talk more or show you what I mean. Thank you!

  8. Send updates to changed recipients in calendar events

Add back in the option to allow updates to calendar events to be sent only to the changed (added, deleted, etc) recipient/s!

  9. Send to OneNote-for meetings I schedule

When I open a meeting from someone else, I see the "Send to OneNote" button. (Very nice). It copies all the relevant meeting information to the note and I'm off to the races.

However, when I open a meeting that I've sent out, the "Send to OneNote" button is no longer there. This is especially troubling because the meetings that I schedule are usually the ones where I need to scribe notes. I don't know if this is a feature or a bug.

  12. Make email and calendar separate icons on Mac dock

Currently, you can open separate windows for your Calendar and Email, on the mac. However if you are working on another window, like Word, and want to jump back to either Mail or Calendar from the doc, the only icon visible is the Outlook. So you have to right click on the icon, then select inbox. It would be nice if there was one icon for calendar, one icon for mail, and I suppose other folks would like an icon for tasks.

  13. "CALL IN" Option for Meeting Invitation

    Adjust the Invitation Response Options:

    • Yes, I'll Attend... IN PERSON

    • Yes, I'll Attend... CALLING IN

    • Maybe

    • No

Meeting Rooms are booked based on the number of attendees that say they will be attending a meeting. BUT there is no option to say that someone is calling in vs attending in person. So Meeting Rooms are booked based on the "YES" responses but the room size may be far larger than is necessary because of those calling in.

  14. Bring back the ability to modify calendar invites

With the new version of Outlook, I cannot change an invitation that is sent to me. I travel extensively internationally and my calendar remains in the Eastern time zone and I manually change invitations to reflect local time. Another example… I need to fill out a timesheet every week and if an hour meeting lasts two hours, I cannot change my calendar to reflect the actual time. So I have to remember at the end of the week to reflect the correct duration or manually input it into Outlook. Both options are not desirable. In the old version if you…

  18. Mac Meeting Notification

For Mac, Outlook utilizes its own notification system. It would be great to see Outlook be able to utilize the default Mac notification system for Calendar.

  19. Check the folder synchronization for calendar.

The latest version (16.26 (19060901)) has issues when a new invite is received, it's not showing on the Outlook client. It shows online, though.

The issue happens when I send my computer to sleep and Outlook is disconnected from the network. I have to quit Outlook and open again to get the updated calendar entries.

  20. I'd like to see a view similar to the Outlook for Windows Daily Task List view.

Outlook for Windows has a Daily Task List view that shows calendar and tasks for that day. It's a useful view for working through tasks.
