  1. Stop the 'move email to folder' dropdown from resizing.

Since the last update, the drop down where I enter which folder to move emails to resizes horizontally to the longest text string. It's also very delayed in this animation so it takes a while to archive emails from my inbox.

  2. common folder

I think it would be handy to have folders that two or more accounts could use. For instance my wife and I have email accounts on this computer. We are moving to another house. She gets email from the realtor. I get email from the Bank, etc. etc. We need a common folder where she could place the mail from the realtor and I could place the mail from the Bank. We would have one folder to search to obtain the mail we need to reference or use.

  4. Don't put the delete email button next to the close window button

The delete mail button is next to the close email button on outlook for Mac app. It makes it really easy for people to accidentally delete the email they have open.

  5. Status bar in Search Folders

The status bar in Search Folders used to show "Connected to.." etc information, however in 2016 it doesn't.

Why isn't that status bar uniform across the client?

  6. Create links when replying and contacts are in my address book

When replying, if contacts are present as cards in my address book, the header of the original message does not contain links, but just plain names.
Example: if card is not in address book, I get in the original mail header:

    "mailto:person@domain.com"

If this is saved in address book, I get in the original mail header:

    "Full Name"

  8. Configuration via profile to disable 'on my computer'

As IT, we don't want customers potentially losing mail server-side by moving it to a folder that only exists locally, so the ability to be able to disallow that pre-customer setup.
Among lots of other things we should be able to do via configuration profile when it comes to setting 'friendly defaults', signatures, etc.

  10. Show the parent folder in the list of suggested folders for operations like moving an email

When moving emails, adding the parent folders to the suggested "Move to" list as a way to identify different subfolders that may have the same name but be located under different parent folders would be useful so we are able to select the exact wanted folder.

  14. Let Outlook be controlled by other Mac Apps.

The macOS operating system allows apps to be controlled by other apps. It would be nice if I could use my GTD app (Things for Mac) to work with Outlook. Providing a back link to an email, e.g.

  15. PLEASE allow for modifications of the ribbon; it is WAY TOO BUSY!!!!!!

Please allow for modification of the ribbon as is allowed in Word. With the version I installed today, it is way too busy and takes up way too much space. We don't need to see every possible option at all times. Some people prefer a nice, clean, tidy workspace. PLEASE!

  17. I suggest you give actin options on the notification tab for each new email such as "move to...", "delete", "mark as read/important", etc.

When new notification roll across the top right corner, there should be buttons to do actions immediately, so that new emails can be organized as soon as they come in, without having to actually go to your inbox

  20. Allow CMD+V to insert an attachment file

Allow CMD+V to paste an attachment file. Now when I try to CMD+C and then CMD+V to insert pdf, doc and rtf file- it's OK. But when I try to insert a pptx file nothing happens. Suppose, there are some more file types with the same problem. Need a solution. To work as simple as in PC, and to use multiple clipboard app more effectively.
