Put the Favorites Folder in like Outlook2013 PC has
We need the Favorites feature in the list of accounts on the left just like Outlook 2013 for Windows has.

This feature is now available in Production: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/outlookformac/2017/07/11/production-new-sidebar-with-favorites-and-send-later-now-available/

I have always used a PC user and recently became a MAC for work, where I manage several exchange inboxes/rooms and the lack of favorites staying on the top of the navigation bar is beyond irritating and makes an extremely simple task like filing an email a much longer process than common sense allows. MS needs to fix this ASAP or provide some "fix". The fact that hundreds of posts and articles about this missing feature makes PRODUCTIVITY not a priority (there are articles from 2015 about this!) on Apple and MS's R&D group, is well, just plain sad. Come on, get it together and fix this!

Agree with others - Favorites folders need to stay fixed at the top of the column - having them scroll defeats any usefulness of having them. We need favorites so that we can scroll down a complex set of folders and sub-folders (typically in order to file away a mail we've just dealt with), and then jump back to the inbox without having to scroll through the lot.

Same comment as someone else: "Please add a preference option to either disable or relocate the 'Add to Favorites' star icon in the sidebar. It currently overlays and blocks the number of unread items in the folder".

Wish I could say this was beneficial, but for me it is practically useless...why...because it does not recognize sub-folders. If you put an upper-level folder in your favorites, that is all you get. For me most of the time these upper-level folders are empty...it's all about organization. Useless....utterly Useless.

I love the new look in version 15.36 (170702) in Outlook 2016 of the favourite folders. It would be fine if I could rename them like I want.

Please add a preference option to either disable or relocate the 'Add to Favorites' star icon in the sidebar. It currently overlays and blocks the number of unread items in the folder. I have many lines of communication that have to monitored constantly the number of unread items count save me from having to wade through hundreds of emails in my inboxes to locate the item(s) I'm looking that are needed at the moment.

The Favourites folder as introduced at present is not of much use. The Favourites Folder List/Panel should remain fixed at the top so that as one scrolls down the list of other Folders for filing and other tasks, the Favourite folders and one does not have to scroll down the entire list to find the Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Drafts etc.

I must agree with others - by not making the Favourites folders stay fixed at the top of the column, the whole point of having them is lost. We need favourites so that we can scroll down a complex set of folders and sub-folders (typically in order to file away a mail we've just dealt with), and then jump back to the inbox without having to scroll through the lot. The only use favourites will have for me at the moment is that the basic organisation has actually got worse, because I used to have my company and my Gmail inboxes at the top, and then the sets of folders and sub-folders. Now all my Gmail folders, including the inbox, are underneath all the company folders and sub-folders so the inbox is totally invisible. I can't even see if anything has come in.

Make the favorites folder stay pinned at the top and not scroll with the other folders.

Thanks for working on this, Mac Outlook Team - but you've missed the point of Favourites.
The Favourites added to the Insider Fast scroll down with all the other folders, making them effectively useless. In Outlook on PC, when you scroll down in folders, favourites always stay at the top, so if you can *easily* file items from inbox and sent into various folders.
On the Mac, favourites scroll along with the rest. So you still have to scroll up and down endlessly to file emails.

I have no use for favorite folders, so the title 'Favorites' should be able to either a) be removed from the top and placed at the bottom with the Smart Folders out of the way, or b) not show up at all if there are no folders selected as favorites.
