Enable Outlook to attach files from Sharepoint Online and OneDrive.
The 2016 versions of Word/Excel/PowerPoint natively allow you to save files directly to Sharepoint Online and OneDrive, yet Outlook offers no option to attach one of those files into an outgoing email. If Microsoft truly believes in "cloud-first" one would think they'd integrate Outlook with their own cloud services.

I've just reluctantly moved over to Mac after having endless (and seemingly unresolvable) hassles between my Dell XPS, Teams and my headset microphone. Go figure...
Got the Mac running perfectly with this side of things, only to find I can't browse Teams from Outlook, or even from Finder.
This is a REAL pain in the ****, and since it seems to work when saving on Word, there's really no excuse here is there. For what it's worth this isn't going to push me back to Windows, it's just going to make me hate Microsoft that little but more.

The inability to access OneDrive items and attach them when using Outlook on my Macs is ridiculous. It's time to replace my IMac and I am going to have to go PC. GRRRRRRR

Please get going on this because it is important to effectively transition from PC to macOS!

Outlook for Windows easily allows users to attach files from OneDrive. When sending large files, you're automatically prompted to send a OneDrive link instead of the file. No such option in Outlook for Mac.
I just tried to send a 150mb file, fully expecting to be prompted (I'm used to Outlook for Windows) to include a link to the OneDrive attachment because the file exceeds message limits. No such luck and the message just stayed put. I was confused and then realized I had to browse to the OneDrive website, find the file, send the link directly from the file.
Why is this? This request was created over 5 years ago now.

This is a fundamental feature if Outlook is to be consistent with the other products in teh suite. If we are to convince our clients to embrace the cloud this is a show stopper.

I can't believe this isn't available. Outlook 365 osx cannot attach cloud files other than office files. not even zip. Please make it happen! Or at least let consumers be aware of this before they buy the product.

Insert link in Outlook for Mac with O365 account does have the capability to insert links from OneDrive and SharePoint, HOWEVER user can insert links to ONLY Office docs :-( Please add other common formats like PDFs, Images etc.

It would be important for both directions to work!!! I can save an attachment from an email directly to Sharepoint or attach to an email from Sharepoint.

Since this is now available in Outlook on the Web and for Windows, we REALLY need it in the Mac version. At this point, it's especially confusing because most of our Mac users can browse to and select a file from OneDrive or SharePoint and insert a link to it in an email, doing so DOES NOT actually 'share' the file with recipients. So, folks are led to believe that they're doing things the right way, only to have recipients either request access or reply in complaint.

Can we get an update on the current status? I have cloud based clients who need this feature to launch.

Was this announcement just a lie? MS clearly had this functioning, at least internally, in some capacity.

When I attach one file and then I want to attach another one in different folder I come back in previous folder but I can not "navigate" and move in the folder (side keys) but I have to click in the main folder... It's not great...

There is even a dropbox app to do this and not a paid onedrive subscription, unbelievable.

Strange to Microsoft not to create this. In previous versions we could do that. MS, remember, Google is evolving every day. But I like it and find the Office 365 more productive in the world.

This was marked as "Planned" over two years ago? Will this be added to Outlook 2016 or are you holding off for 2019?
