The bottom Status bar missing
Switched to new Outlook (Mac) and switched right back! The Status bar at the bottom missing. Can't see the number of mails in the active folder or the last sync time/status.
Same here. I turned off "New Outlook" because there's no status bar. I need to see if I'm connected to the mail server and if my folder is up-to-date. With the "New Outlook", there's no way of seeing this.
On the new Mac version of Outlook, I find that the Sync button doesn't actually work. Since the status bar is no longer there, you cannot tell if you are connected to a server and if the folder is synced correctly. I now have to quit outlook completely to get sync to work again.
For the time being, I have turned off "New Outlook", as it is really hard to tell if it is working properly. Quite often it isn't. I work on a VPN, and email only works when connected. But you cannot tell with "New Outlook", and clicking "Sync" doesn't get it to reconnect. It doesn't even show an error. It just looks like it is working.
