Notification Rules/Alerts for Sub Folders.
It is important to set different notification rules for subfolders to manage the mails efficiently.
We see the badges, the number of mail received in the subfolder, but doesn’t notify us that a new email arrived.
There should be an option in the rules whether we want desktop alert or notification for emails that come into that particular subfolder.

I honestly can't describe how stupendously annoying the lack of this 'feature' is. Completely bonkers.

Its hilarious sub-folder is not eligible for sound notifications. :D

I cannot think of any justification not to get notifications for mail that goes into subfolders. I am trying to imagine the logic that led to it being removed... Did a bunch of people complain about it?? I think not. Can we please have the feature, which should just be there without us having to beg for it.

As a software engineer myself I don't understand the Outlook Devs and their Product Owner, how could they let it happen? Not having a notification for emails in sub folders is a big hit on usability.
This definitely has to be fixed. -

I would also like the badge count and alerts to be fully customisable, otherwise they are dead weight to me and just a cause of stress. I would like to be able to have the badge count only include certain accounts and or specific senders or subfolders. I would like to be able to simply toggle on and off the badge count for each inbox and then add the ability to create rules that set up badge counts and/or notifications for the specific senders or subfolder/smart folder PLEASE guys!

I'm using Outlook for Mac and encounter the issue as below:
If we set a rule to move emails to subfolder, we don't receive any notification when emails arrive in subfolder. So it's very important to provide an option "display desktop alerts" when creating a rule, just same as other versions do.

This feature needs to be added. The fact that it was present in previous versions of outlook, and is missing from the latest version is bad enough. But it's not only missing (in BOTH MacOS & Android), it won't even be considered for a feature add until enough interest in garnered, is disappointing to say the least. Fix it. We're paying for it.

I think the notification alert is very critical to have. It makes no sense that you create a rule and not have a notification for it. Making a rule and a subfolder don't mean that you don't want to see the email. It's just like automating the cleanliness of the mailbox. If Windows can get it, why not Mac? I think this is really important now given that it's Work From Home era. Thanks!

I recieve alerts for my normal inbox but not subfolders, which means I sometimes miss those important emails. Please do add an alert for this. Would be an extremely useful feature and easy for Microsoft to implement.

it has to be there, it will help to give fast response when any urgent message arrived. I came across this situation and unfortunately i am couldn't able to give reply on time hence i lost one big order. Should i switchover to other email services.

This feature is strongly required. I often fail to answer in time to important emails because of this.

I would recommend this as a great added advantage for outlook mac if you roll out this feature support

This option is needed. We tend to miss important email and if we do not apply rules our inbox gets messy.

I badly need the notification for subfolders when new mail has arrived. Otherwise, I sometimes missed important emails which I need to follow immediately.

dd new Rule to allow customized audible alerts for email received from selected senders - critical in this "work from home" environment (they have it in Outlook for windows, you know)
