I find it very hard to read the print now that the background is black.

I don't see the problem. Outlook itself is set to dark mode, but the reading pane is white. There's a button at the top that switches the reading pane from light to dark and vice versa, AND it saves between mails/restarts.
So what exactly is it that you want? -

Need to add feature to change reading pane to light in dark mode. hard to read the message in dark mode. I liked dark mode when the reading pane was light need to add the option to set reading pane for all email to light in dark mode rather than have to change for every email

The reading pane default ought to be light background with dark lettering, even when menus are in dark mode. I don't like having to click a button to make it this way every time I open an email. This is super frustrating.

I like the dark mode. but not for the reading pane. and please have a default option of single email (as with the cumbersome "switch background" with every email). a default for all emails with either dark or light mode for reading pane. also, I have to click on the "switch background" button every time. why isn't there a shortcut for that feature, to make my process quicker?

The previous version of outlook with e mail in white when we use the dark mode was really easy to use and better
Please could you change this feature as soon as possible ? -

Completely agree with all these comments,
The button to turn the reading pane to Light or Dark mode is just stupid. I like dark mode... but the reading pane requires a preference option to leave in whatever mode the user prefers.
FIX soon please. or I'll be forced to use a different mail program.

We should have the option to have either dark or white as a default

Srsly, the current state is absurd and unuseable.

Please provide a setting that allows us to toggle between Light Mode or Dark Mode in the Reading Pane vs. defaulting to Dark Mode. The Dark Mode is not good in the Reading Pane.

I don't see how this isn't a bug. Why would there be two Switch Background buttons right next to each other if not for two different methods of switching (single e-mail vs. all e-mails)?

Yes add as a preference, "keep reading pane light when in dark mode"

please bring back the old version

Many people including myself prefer the back background in the preview pane. There's a switch that works only for the current email - perhaps there should just be a way to default to white or dark depending on preference.

Why you need to change that was working good... No one writes email in black background and photos are shown just BAD. Change it back ASAP please!

We loved your previous update where the screen color is black and message content is in white back ground.
But in new update its very difficult for us to change every time to bright mode.
please make light mode for reading emails as default. -

why did the option of having the reading pane section in outlook stay white change????? Pushing the sun or moon icon is not convenient.
