I suggest you add Archive feature in Mac version exactly as in Windows version.
Archive feature in Windows cleanly allows storage of mail offline in a *.pst file. Archive functionality is missing in Mac Version. I carry 53 GB of mail with huge syncing and spinning issues.

Please add the possibility to archive part of old emails. Now I can either archive all my mail which would make my Outlook useless for work (I need access to my current emails) or to store everything which make my Mac full (I can't upgrade anything, I can';t bakcup my iphone etc.). I'd love to have the possibility to archive the mails older than 1 year now.

It is very HARD to clean out old calendar entries. They seem to be a big contributor to the spinning beachball issues. Over time outlook begins to pause and spin more frequently interrupting everything. it happens as you are typing an email and many other times..

This is a hard requirement, and MS should be ashamed for not having such a function. More clearly, the inability to migrate effectively back from Outlook for Mac to a PC platform is unforgivable. Please don't make the inappropriate comment about "managing mail", as due to things like regulatory requirements, some users are actually required to retain email for longer than normal periods, resulting in larger than normal mailboxes. This is a core requirement that Microsoft has completely failed on.

yes we can export ALL our account in a OST file, but I think what we really need is the possibility to export specific folder with a yearly mail archive and store it (like we can do on windows)

Archiving by year and mailbox would be great, today a loto of us are working with more than a mailbox and being capable of archiving, storing, backing up and being even capable of reading when offline should be a must for a pro software. Sebastian exposed a similar opinion I support too.

you can export your email as an OST file now. That's a thing you can do.

It is so funny to see what get's the most votes. Dark/light mode and optics. What is really needed IMO are the same poweruser-functions available in windows, most importantly an export option which allows you not only to export to the shelf but keep the pst file open in Outlook, making it a) searchable (!) and b) accessible. I do not want to lock my mails away in a file somewhere and forget about them. I need to reduce my IMAP size and remain full search access to my archives.

Even windows is moving away from PST. Online archive is where it's at. If you have a lot of data, store it in another Profile and switch when needed.

Archive feature is an excellent, desirable idea.
However, anyone who is lugging around 53GB of email from computer to computer is misusing or poorly managing their email. (I'm guessing there's a ton of attachments, and you simply refuse to manage them in an appropriate manner.)
Microsoft should not be expected to support, facilitate or endorse such absurd, terrible data management practices.

Totally agree, email archive is a critical function. Can't believe this has so few votes to be honest.

Archive feature as in Outlook for Windows is a necessity to have in have in Outlook for Mac as well. The size of of my e-mail is huge, earlier this week there was problem due to which my main profile had to be rebuild, which took 22 hours!
