Use the macOS notification system for calendar notifications
Currently, calendar notifications pop up in their own window in the lower-right corner of the screen, which is inconsistent with the rest of macOS and Outlook for Mac. It would be cleaner and more streamlined to use the built-in notification system.
I constantly miss meeting because the outlook notifications get hidden in my multiple monitor setup

+1. It's 2020 and every operating system has a powerful built-in notifications system that folks rely on for all apps on their machine. There's not really a good reason that Outlook should be deviating from the OS norms.
The custom Microsoft notifications do not show on top of a full screen application, causing meetings to be missed

The following request is a duplicate of this and has lots of votes :) I suggest to vote there:

Is there any way to make calendar notifications more ‘obnoxious' (i.e. more noticeable)? I’d REALLY like an option that makes such notifications hard to ignore.
While the current notifications look nice, they can be easily overlooked in a scenario where you have multiple monitors, etc., and are focusing on something. Preferably, I’d like something that flashes repeatedly until you dismiss it or snooze it, along with a repeating audio alarm.

I second that. Please enable Outlook Calendar in the Mac's Notification Center, so that it mirrors other Mac calendar applications' behaviour (e.g. Apple Calendar). This will streamline the UX and lead to a less jarring appearance of Office on the Mac (and, perhaps, a sightly smaller code base).

Yes - regularly missing calendar notifications and having to apologise for being late. They just aren't prominent in the same way they are in Windows, or in comparison to other macos apps. Needs some attention and love from the development team.
Also Mac notifications show up over other workspaces. Outlook app only shows on main and if it is not focus, you can miss notifications

Not only is it inconsistent, it causes Outlook to freeze up, for up to 2 minutes, when drying to display the notification.
