Make initials icon color editable
Currently the circular icons with initials of your contacts are randomly assigned a colour. It would be useful if the colours could be assigned by the user so that e.g. Bob Scott who works for Yellow Cabs is yellow and Bill Smith who works for Brown's Brewery is brown, and not randomly the opposite or some other irrelevant colour. That way you could associate the right BS with the right person or company.

The random color assignments that cannot be edited, changed, or removed as they appear by default are distracting. At a minimum it would be great if users could remove all colors unless they WANT to color code contacts and mail.

The problem isn't that the colors aren't edible (which they should be) it's that they are COMPLETELY RANDOM rather than matching the Contact's Category Color (which is edible by category).

Please provide an option to eliminate the colored dots shown in the contact list. Visually very unappealing and not useful.

I suggest that you should be able to change the colour of the circle that surrounds a contacts (or your own) initials that appear on e-mails. Thank you!

When creating contacts in Outlook for Mac 2016, the app helpfully creates a colourful circle icon with the contact's initials reversed out in white letters on the coloured background at the top left of the contact pane, I want to know if the colours in the icons can be changed to match a category colour so that we can better manage the contact list.

The little circle for a contact with their inittials. It would be nice to set that color. Not just a randomly chosen color. Their category color would be even better. Thanks
