This is a bad oversight. The original outlook has always had this feature.

My default address book is empty.
I use contacts, but only from the Google account attached to Outlook.
I made a rule: All contacts outside the address book as SPAM.
I can't set a Google Address Book in this rule. This is the reason why this rule throws out all contacts to the SPAM folder.Make it possible to set a different address book in the rule.

On Outlook for Mac on my computer, when I click on "address book", my company's directory appears by default. I can change it manually to "contacts", but it requires two more clicks on my mouse and I use this many many times each day & the 2 extra click are extremely annoying because I am experiencing sore wrists from spending too much time on the computer. Can you please rectify this URGENTLY so that I only need to click once on the address book as in the past. Regards Pat Luca

This would be very helpful. Or if you could have it just include them all.

Our AD has a large amount of groups and Outlook always defaults to our AD. Finding and selecting contacts in my own contacts (like someone from a different company), as a pain, a real pain.
Please allow us to select which one is default, and prioritizing, like Windows used to do, like contacts first, AD second or something similar would make this unusable situation usable again.
