Support for Apple iCloud contacts
how is this not possible? Syncing mac contacts and entourage was easy. Now I can't. It makes Outlook a useless mail client on a mac...This is nonsense. This should be as high a priority as a software patch for a vulnerability. The fact that these comments date back two years, just means MS doesn't care. FULL STOP.
I am a new subscriber to Office 365, and working in the Apple/Mac environment. I am disappointed to learn that I cannot use my 2,000+ iCloud contacts as my default address book in Office 365. I hope you will prioritize this. Thank you

Please prioritise the integration of iCloud with Outlook, we need 1 place for contacts, calendar and emails.

Outlook is really one of the best Mailclients I know - and I like it. But to have no access to iCloud contacts makes it finally unusable!
Access to iCloud contacts is really a MUST!
Please make it possible
If there were, I would use Outlook on the Mac. Very serious that there is not, also because in Windows there is. Closing the SW to the collaboration between them is not a winning move.

Embarrassing that this does not exist. Only reason I still don't use outlook on my Mac is that I can't sync my contacts... which is very sad because the rest of the software is very nice. But seriously, who wants to keep two separate address books these days?!
How is it possible that this is not already enabled?
This is absurd! Can't import something as simple as a csv file??? Madness! They just want to be difficult, customers be damned,

Please, please, please prioritise the integration of iCloud with Outlook -- namely contacts and calendars. It has been *decades*, not merely years, that has been a source of consternation ... Like other Mac hardware users I don't intend switching but would appreciate the chance to take full advantage of the software from Microsoft - given we pay as much as any PC user but still lack the convenience and functionality that should be there.

It's imperative that if you allow icloud contacts to be available inside outlook.
I exclusively keep my contacts in icloud in a centralised location, along with my calendars and don't intend to switch

I would like to use iMessage on my Mac and see not just the senders' phone numbers but also their names from my Outlook Contacts. Just like I do on my iPhone. It would be nice if Microsoft and Apple could figure out a way to ensure this. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Dear, I am a Mac user and it seems to me very complete the microsoft mail client, unfortunately it does not synchronize icluod contacts. I am very sure that if that option comes back you would make outlook for mac the best of all. PLEASE TAKE CARE IN THIS OPTION ..!
This used to work under Office for Mac 2016. I just added my icloud email address and password and it would bring up my contacts. Since updating to Office 356 (Mac), theres nothing... just recently used contacts.

Microsoft, this has been LONG over due. You need to include functionality for Outlook for Mac 2016/365 (and beyond) to use iCloud contacts and iCloud calendar.
This is beyond absurd that in 2019 Mac users cannot simply enter a contact in their iCloud contacts (so that it is available on all their devices) and have it show up in Outlook so they can use Outlook for their email and calendar. Enough of the lame excuses, everything is integrating these days and it is 2019 and has been an issue for years. This needs to be addressed now!

THE IT STAFF AT MS ARE NOT SMART ENOUGH TO FIGURE THIS OUT
this is long overdue please add support

Your tech recommended positing this here even though I am a Windows 10 user. We have lost the ability to search for the complete list of contacts in Outlook. Some are returned, some not. This is my experience:
I was testing a bit more and I think the problem has to include how the search is working. I decided to clean up my contacts. I would delete a few, then get out of Outlook to be sure that there was no problem deleting too many at a time. With the complete list of contacts showing and sorted by “last name, first”, I used the search at the top right of the LIST and searched for one of the names that had been deleted. IT CAME BACK with all information. Yet, when I looked for it in the complete list, it was not there.
The opposite is true. If I look for a contact that is definitely in the LIST, I cannot depend on whether the contact will be returned in a search. If I delete a contact and re-add it, the contact appears on the LIST, but is not returned by the search at the top of the LIST.
This may be a similar problem that we have had with the “feature” that keeps most used email addresses. If we have not used one in a while, we have to go to the contacts list to get it.
Clearly, the list (as kept in a database?) is not the same as the lists for the searches. I believe the problem lies in that area.
