Support for Apple iCloud calendar
Thanks for voting!
One alternative is to subscribe to iCloud calendar with your Exchange/O365 email accounts or any Outlook account, and then sync the same accounts in Outlook for Mac. See details:
ical integration. consolidate all calendars in one place
quand pourrat'on synchroniser Outlook mac et contact iOS ou gmail

Your alternative is no alternative, because it does not work. Sometimes only synced in one direction. Birthdays always one day wrong. Some events do not sync at all.
It would be nice if iCal integrated into Outlook
It would be great Outlook could be synced with Apple's calendar...too many of us use Mac at home and PC at work or vice versa and the complications of getting things right are immeasurable.
I am currently using only Apple mail instead of Outlook only for the reason that all my contacts are in iCal. I have always used and liked Outlook better but the lack of this feature is preventing me from using it.
Add export option for iCal to Outlook for Mac 2016.
As Christina and Giovanni mentioned, it is a bad joke that Microsoft is not solving this problem.
I am forcing my customers and my company, a global IT Service provider, to search for alternatives to Outlook.
The missing sync is not contemporary for business industry standards anymore.

I am a MS Office user since the early nineties and Office for Mac since 2006. It is unbelievable that more than 7.000 votes are not enough to solve this issue. Really, unbelievable.

I do not want an alternative, I want THIS solution. It is so simple to implement, I can not believe MS is just not listening to its users.
Complete disappointment on Microsoft.

I tried following the procedure in the the above link and it does not work. It does import the calendar but does not sync with any further additions. It also will not allow any additions to the calendar as all entries go to an outlook calendar and not the imported iCal.
Der Umweg von iCloud über outlook.live.com (O365) zu Outlook für Mac 2016 funktioniert nicht!
As I'm informed, ...
... google uses Card-/CalDAV standard (perhaps their special version)
and Apple uses Card-/CalDAV standard ...
Therefore I assume that there're political not technical reasons.
Personally I don't expect MS providing a solution (moving to standards).
Could someone explain why you keep improving Google calendar and contacts for Outlook (16.13 just downloaded today) but constantly refuse to connect with Mac Calendars and contacts (Icloud). You produce an excellent piece of Outlook software for Mac users but treat us as second class (non Google) citizens. Please do not give us work-arounds but parallel access to that which you give Google
Syncing of calendar with iCloud is required to get life back to normal. What is the issue here?
Have been waiting for full iCloud integration with Outlook for Mac for years... This is why I have to run Parallels to run Windows O365 & the ONLY version of Outlook worth bothering with.
Please make it possible, that we can import iCal Calendar into Outlook for MAC!
I got a big Calendar from my study with hundreds of dates including seminars etc. Anyway I'll try to import the calendar with my Microsoft PC in the office.
I don't expect MS implementing Card-/CalDAV (e. g. for iCloud contacts/calendar).
It's not a technical issue, it's company policy.
Unfortunately on both sides: Apple as well...
iTunes for windows provides an API to iCloud contacts/calendar for Outlook for Windows...
I had discussions with MS support people for Outlook for Mac over the years. They understand the request. They didn't argue technical roadblocks. There reaction was more like politics ("I understand. Please go user votes and put your votes there. I cannot help you ...").
And the request is as old as Apple discontinued sync services in Mac OSX Maverick (about 5 years ago).
This site is a split up a year ago from a general user vote to implement Cal-/CardDAV. Until April 2017 it had been combined user requests 'Support for GMail, iCloud etc. calendars (CalDAV)' with 22,471 votes and 'Support for GMail, iCloud etc. contacts (CardDAV)' with 11,915 votes per April 14th 2017...
This perhaps should show everybody, that we will not see an implementation of iCloud contacts/calendar (Card-/CalDAV) very soon.
Much more to add: the CEO of Microsoft Europe declared some years ago: "We understood our customers and will implement Card-/CalDAV into Outlook". A promise waiting to be fulfilled over at least 4 years.
Decide by yourself: live with outlook as it is or walk away. But don't expect that MS does care about. The number of users of Outlook for Mac is too small.
Tried this solution but no sync
