Customize the ribbon
The ribbon can be customised in Word, but not in Outlook. For instance, the placement of addin could be chosen (e.g. webex, which is working fine, by the way), or the very bad placement of the "send and receive" is dramatic
Can't believe you can't customize the ribbon. Why bother having a preferences option if the ribbon isn't one of the things you can customize?!

This is still absolutely an essential feature that Outlook is lacking, especially when using it on devices with a smaller screen such as the 11-13" MacBook Air. The ribbon takes up way too much space, and has to be scrolled through in order to access common tasks that could otherwise be grouped together by the user to optimize their workflow. Please allow people to customize the order of the items, hide the icons (showing text buttons only), or optimally, both. Why is it that Apple Mail - the built-in mail client with less business market share - has these features and yet the enterprise standard does not?
Having recently switched from PC to Mac for work, I particularly miss this feature, along with being able to customise the Quick Launch Toolbar. I always do this when setting up office applications and this omission has slowed me down when working in Outlook now.
As an example, I use Categories to 'tag' my emails and meetings and assign multiple categories at a time. Now the most efficient way for me to do this is right-click off the email, but it only allows me to select one at a time.
Multiple small frustrations like this make Outlook for Mac noticeable less useable than Outlook for Windows.
Or at least compromise and allow us to add commands to the toolbar (Customize Quick Access Toolbar) like we can do in PowerPoint, OneNote, and Word.
Here is my final comment with office support (see below for trouble history and my vote for customize ribbons, snipping tool in all MAC office products, and the list goes on):
As an ex-MCP (NT/Exchange/Pro/Server) who finally gave up on PC in 2018 due to [constant issues with] the Windows OS using it since Windows 3.1 in college at West Point it’s difficult to even stay with Office when so many features are missing. While I understand there are 2 operating systems, this does not preclude coding similar features. [I even had a hotmail account way before Microsoft bought hotmail... I've been with you so long and still switched to MAC]. I will definitely add my vote especially since features exist today in some Office products but not the others. Thanks so much!
How do I print to OneNote on MAC Outlook? How do I update my ribbon. Can I save my PC Ribbon and import it to my MAC ribbon. Why would PC Office and MAC Office have so many serious differences.
PS Still waiting on Snipping Tool in OneNote… You have it in Word and PowerPoint and Excel… Isn’t it just as easy to get it in to OneNote. Of all the Office products #1 for Snipping is definitely OneNote… #2 PowerPoint… everything else, last…
Hello Ray, hope you are doing great! My name is Alex and I’ll be happy to help you.
At this moment, there is no option to print to OneNote from Outlook for Mac and no option to update the customize the Ribbon. If you would like to see this feature implemented in our app just submit your vote via our UserVoice topic: https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/293343-outlook-for-mac/suggestions/15441291-customize-the-ribbon
We would love to hear your feedback!
Regarding the differences: Mac OS and Windows are quite different OS hence apps also work in a different way and have different design, features.
Please, let me know if there is anything else I can do for you? I am happy to help.
Im wasting so much time scrolling back and forth through the ribbon. Please add the ability to modify button placement!!
pls add next & previous in the ribbon in Outlook
It is quite shocking that users can't customize the ribbon in Outlook for Mac. This is a dealbreaker... really hope it can be resolved soon.

unbelievably stupid thats not an option... designers apparently lack any semblance of common sense... did you get lazy after making that an option for word but not outlook? you guys suck
In Outlook 2011, there is an arrow on top of the message window that makes it very easy to jump to a next message in a thread.
I am quite shocked, that when I UPGRADE of Outlook 2016, my experience is DOWNGRADED. It is now a major hassle going through each email in a long thread.
Please, fix this rapidly !!!!!!!!!!
Please correct this degradation of functionality as soon as possible. Your company deprives us to work professionally. Example: I can no longer send e-mails with a time delay. This pull down feature launched in 19XX is missing ... Etc. etc.
Please allow the ribbon to be customized in Outlook for Mac
Customizing the ribbon is needed on the mac version!
Specifically the "next" button so you can move to the next email without deleting or moving the current email you are viewing.

I have way too many icons showing on the email Home ribbon, several that I don’t use and would like to remove, and some that I used to use but I can no longer find. Seriously, there should be a “manage tool bar” option someplace where I can do this easily,
The read/unread button changed location and I can't move it back to the ribbon. I use this often and its a longer process now.

I often have to scroll the ribbon to the left or switch to "Options" to find the option I want, then find that I have to scroll it back to hit the Send button.
Can't we just pin the send button so it is always visible.

Being able to reorder, add or delete ribbon actions would be terrific.
Very frustrating not being able to add the Print on ribbon
