Enable Follow-up flag when composing a message
In Outlook for PC you can easily add a follow-up flag to an email so that you remember to follow-up with the person you sent an email to. Such email appears in your tasks list which makes it easy to schedule when do I really want to bug them again. However, in Outlook for Mac this option doesn't exist. There is no such button in the New Email box. There is a sub-menu item (Message->Follow Up), however it is set on a Draft email and is never copied to the actual one in your Sent folder, once a Draft becomes an actual email. So it's useless.
I would like a very basic feature.
The thing is, that I daily send 20-25 e-mails.
2-5 of these e-mails ask the mail receiver to do something.
Usually thing is done, but not always and I have to remind the receiver.
In order to maintain a list of outsourced tasks, today I add followup@my-own-domain as bcc.
And then I delete the mails from the followup@my-own-domain inbox as things are being solved.
But that is not the ideal solution.
Instead I would like to be able to tick a flw-up button located close to the SEND button (this would allow me to easily maintain a follow-up list of things outsourced).
My new job uses O365 but got a Mac computer because of familiarity. This email flag feature is definitely useful for Mac users too! Please add it.

If it helps, I've used this work around, which allows me to auto set a todo flag if I put myself on CC (or you could create a dummy email address?)
Client Rules -> Exchange (only option that allows ToDo flag)
Create a new rule whereby 'when new message arrives' :
From Contains <your_email_address>
Any CC recipient Contains <your_email_address>
Do the following:
-I'm using office 365 and use the MS ToDo app to track flagged messages so works
-Obvious side effect is you are CC'ed on all emails
-Added rule to run this only from emails from yourselves to avoid tasks being spawned if replies are sent with CC
-For some reason does not work with other rule types where ToDo setting is not an option.
Sadly I've become well versed at MS's lackadaisical approach to supporting Mac office apps.
Hope this helps.
Please add!!!! This is so helpful

I would also love this feature on Mac. It seems like an easy one to implement. Switching from my work computer to home, I hate having to fumble around to activate flags on the Mac.
welp, 4 years and counting, no solution for this?
Also it will be helpful to add the full calendar to select a date, as it is performed in Outlook for PC.

We URGENTLY need this feature, Microsoft! How in the world can something so fundamental be missing?
More than two years and no solution! Microsoft is always inviting to avoid its products.

Any update on when this feature will be available?

Definitely need this feature for managing staff and vendors.
This feature is critical.
IL faudrait pouvoir ajoute un message personnalisé à l'indicateur de suivi.

This really needs to be added, the current process is broken and requires multiple steps.
yeah why can this not be done in Mac?
I had the option of a Mac or Dell P.C. I am going back to a Dell because Outlook on the Mac is so useless. The Rules section is also lacking in what you can do.
This function is a necessity! Please review and consider updating the software

I find Outlook for Mac completely unacceptable. It is not even close to the PC version. Very disappointing!

I have just started using Outlook for Mac. And I am SO MUCH disappointed - a lot of useful features are missing (with comparison to Outlook for PC).
