exchange active sync
Allow Outlook for Mac to communicate with Exchange using the Exchange Activesync protocol.
Some organizations only allow EAS as an external protocol for connecting to Exchange. They do this because of the level of control it affords them over the client device. For an individual wishing to connect they are therefore limited to mobile devices like an iPad or Windows 10 Mail.

Please allow the NEW OUTLOOK client for Mac to support On-Prem exchange.
I think below is a duplicate.
any hope for this to happen?

I strongly support to add this feature in Outlook for Mac. I expect Outlook for Mac should be same as Outlook for Window. I don't see any reason that it is not designed in day 1.
I share all your comments. Unbelivable!! But I think is more an Apple issue than Microsoft, because it doesn´t work with MAIL either.
does anyone know a workaround solution to allow the use of a Mac OS to connect to a EAS account? (via MAIL or Outlook). I was thinking on a iPhone emulator for Mac....
Please add EAS for Mac.
"Adding an account as Exchange Active Sync option is not yet available in Outlook for Mac."?! When can it support Active Sync option in Mac?

I'm absolutely not happy with the Outlook 2016 for Mac! I should behave the same way like Outlook 2016 for Windows does. It's really a shame, not to provide EAS!
Why are Outlook for Windows and Mac not treated the same way? I can connect to my Company's Server via EAS on Outlook 16 on Windows, but can't do the same on Outlook 2016 for Mac. A real shame!
