Smart Folders in Ribbon
I suggest you make it possible to move a Smart Folder (or Search folder) to the ribbon or at least to the top of the folders list so that I won´t have to scroll to the bottom of the folders list

Was happy to see the favorites bar but was then dissapointed that I could not add smart folders there. Seems kinda silly.
I've lost all faith in Microsoft ever making Outlook work on Mac. Every update brings with it a new set of bugs. It's so slow, yet gobbles CPU cycles like candy!
The whole UI is unwieldy and inconsistent.
The real frustration?
Not having a choice.
Mac Mail is plain horrible and I've not found any apps with the same functionality that are also compatible with Exchange Mail.
I cannot believe that this (still) is not possible, come on... Microsoft, this is ridicules and I am starting to take you less and less serious as a company.
+ 1 Need this real bad.
Please listen to us. We use your software to organise our lives, please let us organise it to suit our lives. Need to be able to add smart folders to Favourites (so I can see it on my laptop 13" screen) and the ability to edit/remove/re-organise all sidebar folders to suit my needs, not the predetermined suggestions of others.
Would also like calendar and contacts to just work nd sync with Outlook please. Like many here I do not underastand why the Mac version does not replicate basic Windows functions. The days of politics and supremacy of Mac vs windows are over. Customers just want everything to work and sync and be easy. You would think companies like Microsoft and Apple would recognise this as a way of keeping people happy and buying their products.
Yes this is needed will add a lot of value

Such a basic feature. Wonder why they won't implement...
do it please!

There needs to be way more alignment between the Windows and Mac versions of Office, in particular Outlook.
I use my Windows system at the office and when officially on work travel, but my personal Mac for night and evening. It drives me up the wall that I can't customize workflows the same on my Mac.
It's these little details, but they make a massive difference.
Still nothing. I have installed at least 3 updates and absolutely still no way to add my smart folders to favorites - ridiculous! Please fix!

Shocked to discover this isn't a feature yet. Another reminder of why I generally try to avoid most MS products when possible...

Add me to those who are frustrated by the differences - this being a huge one! - between MS and Apple Outlook!

Agreed, get it done, Mac Outlook developers, hurry hurry!
Microsoft is losing more and more users commented
totally agree! what on earth the designers think? are they trying to make MAC office with bad quality so that people still have to use win system's office? Come on man, is it so difficult to make the user interface consistent????
Would be a big plus. Still don't understand why Win and Mac Outlook versions have to be different in many cases ... Both Outlook versions still MS products.
Please make smart folders selectable as favourites.
:) Thank you!
I would love to have it included, as smart folders are important for my daily work :-)

Poorly executed design; allow the user to create a custom set of "Smart" folders and then display them below all the other folders. Useless!

I'm amazed that there isn't a standard and consistent set of features for a folder.
