Columns and reading pane right
Please add the ability to view mail in columns while still having the reading pane to the right. This functionality works great on the Windows side, but I can't seem to figure out why it's only available with no reading pane, or when the reading pane is below the email...

FIX THIS AND STOP IGNORING PEOPLE

I am dying to have this feature in Outlook for Mac. It is simply absurd that Microsoft would not enable this feature. Just shows the lack of love from Microsoft for their products that run on mac. Microsoft: It's your product and you want people to love it and use it, not run away from it OR be frustrated with it. Frustrations can easily spill onto other MS products.

What is the point of having a feedback forum like this when a highly upvoted basic issue is still not fixed after more than 3 years?

Please fix this. This is such a big frustration and should be basic functionality. And NO, our employees are not moving to Outlook for Windows because of this. The alternative is non-Microsoft solutions for Mac.

Come on Microsoft, this should be an easy fix. In the interim at least make the message view customisable in the basic display you get with right reading pane enabled.

Can somebody from Microsoft comment, why this cannot be implemented? I'm planning to cancel my subscription and move to Thunderbird.

Please add this feature! This is insane.

Please ADD this feature -- I have switched to Thunderbird because this feature is missing and I cannot get the density of emails on my screen that I am used to. Having used Outlook for over a decade on Windows, and now switching to a Mac, I am truly struggling.

I just don't understand why Microsoft doesn't fix this issue. It can be done very easily I'm sure. Just fix it. If not, why not?

This was possible in Outlook 2011, but it's somehow - inexplicably and incredibly annoyingly - been removed. I've always had the reading pane to the right and columns showing. Today, after getting help with another issue from Microsoft support, the columns are now gray. Infuriating and frustrating.

Since 2016? oh my f*ing god ... just another example of stupid in Microsoft.
Design 101 people, outlook for windows has been like this since as far back as I can remember (office 95 / 97) and one line view is the *ONLY* way I view my mail ... I begrudginly switched to preview on the right ONLY after I had switched to wide screen monitors. ... and that's because turning on preview to the right with a 1280x1024 (4:3?) screen made the message list into the same horrible **** that is currently defaulted for the Mac!
This needs to be fixed. You ported the app from Windows to Mac .. it should, with minor issues, work identically, and when users pay to buy these apps to use on a Mac, especially after years and years with a PC .. the App should work look and act the same.

I switched to Mac and Outlook this week and just figured this out. Is there a change planned? If not, I am going to ask for a refund. This hampers productivity significantly.
