I have this issue as well. Need to monitor shared mailboxes every day but they receive too many emails and I don't need to see notifications for those. It would be great to have a granular control over which account sends notifications.

I have connected my gmail account to outlook on my desktop. How can I stop getting notification on my inbox botton, when I receive not important mails such as marketing emails and such? In webmail Gmail these emails did not give a notification as if I had an unread mail in my inbox. Instead they went to another file / category (Promotions, Updates and Social) with was not my mail inbox. As I understand right now this function is not available in Outlook, its like all or nothing set up. I think this function is very important and will increase the number og outlook desktop users. its not convenient to be notified on every promotion mail, especially when you have a 10 or even 20 years old mail address/ account and connect it to Outlook all the promotion mails from over the years will start pouring in and give you notification.

I believe my feedback fits into this suggestion as well. I have noticed that there isn’t a way to configure notifications and sounds per inbox - just sort of an all or nothing for Outlook for Mac as a whole. Super inconvenient! I need to have a shared inbox in my Outlook for Mac, but I don't need to monitor it, so I wish I could disable notifications for just this shared inbox, not the entire application as I would still like to get notifications & sounds for my personal inbox.

yes yes yes. I work for a retailer in theor HQ and i have my own work email + an email stores can email for questions and i get bombared with too many notifications that are not exactly pertinent to me since someone else handles the store inbox. this would help big time!

I agree, I have two delegate accounts used by ticketing systems which I need to monitor for availability but do not need notifications for every email received.

Some accounts/mailboxes are more important than others. Getting notifications from shared mailboxes that I keep in the system just because I seldom have to manage, but never on a day-to-day basis is adding noise to my work.
