Option to disable “quote only selected text on reply” feature
If some mail text is selected, only that text is set in quote part on reply. This behavior is not very convenient for me as a longtime user of Outlook for Windows desktop.
I want an option to disable it and let Outlook behave like Windows client.

Hi all, as of release 16.21 it is possible to disable “quote only selected text on reply” in Mac Outlook. Go to Outlook/Preferences/Composing and uncheck the
“Only reply to selected text” box.
Thanks for your support!

This is not a feature, it is bug, default option should be disabled, if anyone wants to enable they can go to advanced options to enable. by looking at the votes and comments, nobody liked this feature or bug in my opinion

Microsoft - please, please, please include the option to disable this infuriating "feature".
It makes my blood boil several times daily! I'd simply like to be able to turn it off.

This is a terrible feature and I'm surprised that anyone thought it was a good idea. To offer it as an option (why? beats me) would be one thing but to make it an unchangeable default was a mistake. Please either remove this altogether or make it a non-default option.

Up vote on this for me as well. Not only do I waste time re-replying when I notice this, I have wasted countless hours googling to find how to turn it off, only recently found that there is no way. Please make this an option!

This is a terrible "feature". Please spend the 20 seconds necessary to code a toggle in the Preferences pane...

This is highly annoying! Several of my emails are pertaining user support, where I need to highlight either a password (for testing) or the email address to someone further down the message chain (for direct replies), and I have to redo email replies multiple times a day because of this "feature".
