Option to disable “quote only selected text on reply” feature
If some mail text is selected, only that text is set in quote part on reply. This behavior is not very convenient for me as a longtime user of Outlook for Windows desktop.
I want an option to disable it and let Outlook behave like Windows client.

Hi all, as of release 16.21 it is possible to disable “quote only selected text on reply” in Mac Outlook. Go to Outlook/Preferences/Composing and uncheck the
“Only reply to selected text” box.
Thanks for your support!

This feature is a productivity killer. I have to believe it was done by accident. Please make it go away.

If this is such a great feature, why isn't it included in the Windows version. Please fix this soon. Thx.

I understand the purpose, but I have never once actually wanted this to happen... always have to close the email and try again.

Please get rid of this worst example of the rebirth of Clippy. It is a terrible idea, I often highlight key parts of an email while I gather my thoughts for the reply....then have to start again.

Amazing that in such a bloated program, no one thought to make this "feature" optional.

This is extremely annoying and catches me out multiple times per day. Please make the behavior the same as Office on Windows.

In contrast to Outlook fo Windows, where text is selected in the original message in Outlook for Mac 2016, the reply contains only the selected text.

Remove or add the option to disable the feature that makes highlighted text be copied as the only text into a new reply.

I too would love to see this - I seem to hit this issue all the time and it's frustrating. I understand why it's the default behaviour but would love an option to turn it off.
