Add table support
We need to be able to create, modify, edit, and format tables
Table creation and editing support is available starting with our January Release!
Agree, we need the function as same as Outlook for Windows.

Great to see this feature is coming!
Great to see this is in planned status so I can save my votes for other items - but it would have 3 votes otherwise!
drafting mail is easy but we cannot work with table or insert tables in mail messages, it should be incorporated in mail messages, we need to work on excel and then copy the table, that also cannot copied with borders.
Agree, this feature is mandatory to have on par Outlook for Mac with Windows. This include modification of tables in Email Body and Copy-Paste table from other sources including Excel and Word

Now, we can copy and paste tables from Word or Excel, however, Outlook editor still not able to reformat the imported tables or draw new ones in the same way windows version is capable to.
Appreciate to add this feature as it is really useful and important.

I need create tables feature within mac outlook. we are having so much difficulty for creating and managing tables in outlook mac emails. This was working flawless in windows outlook. Please add this feature ASAP.

Add 'insert table' to email messages - very disappointed its not part of office for Mac
We need to be able to create, modify, edit, and format tables. This is a necessity for emails and it really would put Microsoft Outlook above and beyond any other Mac email app if we were able to do that.

Passing from Excel into the body of the email should be supported. Windows version does it and allows drawing tables. We need this feature badly!
Add formatting support for tables pasted into messages - Format as table, auto fit to contents, etc. This feature has been in Outlook for Windows since at least Office 2007.

1. I suggest to add creation of table within outlook mail similar to outlook for Windows.
2. To enable saving/exporting mails as .pst files which can be easily used across windows and MAC without any conversion tools
3. To include duplicate mail checking within outlook
4. The automatic horizontal line should be thinner as before

Ability to draw HTML tables in new messages without having to copy+paste from Excel
Colin Wylie commented
This is an absolute requirement. We quite often copy and paste a document into the notes section of Events, and they have to be inserted into a table to display correctly. Please add this functionality which the Windows version has.
This should be the very basic feature of Outlook and we all look for it when using the version for Mac.
As part of the table table support, formatting the table with the same options as the Outlook windows app is required as well.

Speaking as an earlier user of Office 2010 for Windows, a feature that is sorely missed in Outlook 2016 for Mac is the ability to insert HTML Tables into an email.
There are times—especially in the context of business-related emails—that should a feature is not only desirable, but necessary. Please consider this feature for future updates to Outlook 2016.
Please, add the function to create or insert a table and to draw a border
