  1. Ability to import and export calendars

Please add the ability to import and export calendars in Outlook for Mac. It'd be great if the formats that one could import and export contacts to were the same as the options on Outlook on Windows. This would make it easy to transition back and forth, particularly for folks who are switching platforms for work.

  3. Allow to scroll the calendar (month view) using the mouse wheel

Like in Outlook for PC or Apple Calendar it is possible to gradually scroll through time by just using the mouse-scroll-wheel.
On the Outlook Mac version you can only jump back and forth month by month and only via the buttons in the upper left corner.

  5. Have an option for subject based conversations

Add an option to organize conversations by subject like it was in previous versions. Many of the automated systems which I receive emails from do not contain a conversation ID and my inbox is now incredibly difficult to read with responses to existing threads. I simply want an option to organize conversations using the "rudimentary way" of organizing by subject.

  6. Add setting to Show Details of email header (TO/CC/BCC) by default

Add an option in Settings to "Show" or "Hide" the email header details (TO/CC/BCC lines) by default, instead of requiring user to click "Show Details" for an email.

In the latest update, when viewing an email, the email header is now collapsed and all contacts listed on one line. This makes it impossible to know at a glance if you were on the TO list or the CC list, which is very frustrating. You have to manually click on Show Details for each email, and it doesn't remember your choice when you look at one again.

    Please add an option…

  8. Default Outlook 2016 for Mac to Search Across All Folders

Either default all of searches to search across all folders, or have the ability to setup what is the default search span.

  9. Ability to quote messages with standard '>' marker

Pretty much every mail client I have ever used has quoted mails with a '> ' when replying to emails. Mac Outlook 2016 allows me to "indent" the text as an option, but this seems to use spaces. This is a weird non-standard thing which means I now need to copy-paste my emails into a text editor to 'properly' quote them each time.

  12. Would like to see someones out of office message when writing an e-mail

Like the Outlook client on Windows, it would be nice if you could see the receivers out of office message when typing their name in the "To" box.

  14. Allow subscribing to published iCal calendars and vice versa

I suggest that you add functionality to both Outlook for Mac and Outlook for Windows to enable subscribing to published iCal calendars (or Mac Calendar.app), and to enable publishing of Outlook calendars in a form that can be subscribed to from iCal. This should, of course, sync changes in both directions.

  15. Support MacOS keyboard shortcuts

Until recently, Outlook supported built-in cursor navigation short-cuts (Ctrl-A to move to the start of a line, Ctrl-E to move to the end of the line, Ctrl-N for next line, etc). In a recent update this support disappeared, and these key sequences now mostly do nothing, except that Ctrl-A now maps to select-all, just like Cmd-A. Other Office products still support the shortcuts. For those who are used to universal OS support for these shortcuts it's a jarring experience, and inconsistent with the Mac experience.

  16. Allow ability to see Calendar (or tasks, etc.) on right sidebar while working in mail

Allow ability to see Calendar (or tasks, etc.) on right sidebar while working in mail. This was previously very helpful in past Windows versions

  17. Send calendar availability

Like in Outlook for iOS, it would be great to have the ability to have a button in the email compose window that allows me to send availability. From a UI perspective it could operate just like the iOS version...click the "send availability" button, see a calendar, click the time ranges you are available, it drops it nicely formatted into your email.

  18. Fix the HTML Formatting for Signatures

Ever since the latest string of Outlook updates, HTML signatures have gone completely mad, making HTML signatures impossible to use.

Please put the old way of formatting signatures back in place.

    OR

Add a feature to allow HTML formatting in the signatures area.

Basically, any way for us to get our HTML formatting back would be greatly appreciated!

  19. bring back outbox

Please make it easier to delete outgoing messages that get stuck. It would also help identify problem emails before someone calls you two days later and says "did you ever send me..."
