  1. Add Outlook to Share Menu (Extensions)

Have Outlook 2016 added to the Share Menu (under Extensions) in System Preferences. It's easier to have applications share anything to Microsoft Outlook. Example the Photos app.

  3. Make search look and work like it does for Windows

The search function for the Windows version of Outlook is fast, easy to use, and in a convienient location. The version for Mac is in the upper right corner, not easy to quickly select search options, and overall is not as easy to use.

Move the search box to the same location on the Mac client and allow for quick drop downs on what to search for. Overall make search on the Mac just as fast and easy to use as the Windows version

  4. Add back the option of coloring column view text by Category

The old Outlook 2011 Categories would change the color of the text in the column view of a message or note, meaning that colors of an important category of email/note/task could stand out to the eye quickly. Now for messages, there is only a small bar or dot, and you can't even tell a note or task is categorized without selecting that note, or unchecking other categories in the sidebar. It would be very nice to see the category breakdown of a list of things at a glance, like I used to be able to.
    Please add back an option…

  5. Honor default apps defined by user. Ex, clicking chat on a user contact launches skype rather than default IM app. Would match Windows Offi

This applies across all of the Office apps, not just Outlook. Integration should leverage the default Mac applications for various click to X capabilities, not hard coded preferences in the application.

  6. Office 365 For Mac should have the same features available for the PC.

Office 365 For Mac should have the same features available that PC users get. You are paying for a half built product and this simply isn't good enough. I would like to be able to swap over from Google Docs but I am seriously looking at cancelling my office 365 subscription and going back to using Gmail / Calendar and Google Docs directly as there really isn't any point me using office 365 for Mac. It is as though Microsoft purposely want to focus on a product for their PC customers. If you made the product equal to that available…

  7. Restore AppleScript support for third party apps

Because of the current implementation of sandboxing, third party apps can no longer interact with Outlook (I'm thinking about SpamSieve, but it applies to a number of apps).
There are ways around that and I would love the future versions of Outlook to allow AppleScript from third party apps again.

  8. Enable the Quick Access Toolbar

I would like to see customizable Quick Access Toolbar in Outlook 2016 for Mac like the one we have in 2013 for Windows. ( in the trial version of 2016 for Mac, I see a very truncated version above the ribbon). I use the QAT for all of my most frequently-used commands so that I don't have to switch back and forth among different tabs. Send Mail and Text Color, for example, are all on one easy-to-use bar.

  10. Allow users to customise the touch bar

In spite of a similar looking request being marked completed, Microsoft has still not provided end users the ability to customise the touch bar. This is standard functionality in most modern Mac applications and is useful for many different good reasons, particularly for applications as sophisticated as the Microsoft Office suite - there is a lot of scope for customising to one's own workflow.

Please!! Let us customise the touch bar!!

  11. Support MacOS keyboard shortcuts

Until recently, Outlook supported built-in cursor navigation short-cuts (Ctrl-A to move to the start of a line, Ctrl-E to move to the end of the line, Ctrl-N for next line, etc). In a recent update this support disappeared, and these key sequences now mostly do nothing, except that Ctrl-A now maps to select-all, just like Cmd-A. Other Office products still support the shortcuts. For those who are used to universal OS support for these shortcuts it's a jarring experience, and inconsistent with the Mac experience.

  13. Empty deleted items on exit?

There was a feature in Outlook 2011 you could set to empty the deleted items folder on exit, in Outlook 2016 it is no longer there, please restore this.

  14. Customize ribbon

Provide an ability to customize the ribbon, like moving features around. I wanted to move the SEND button farther to the right but can't.

  15. Allow ability to see Calendar (or tasks, etc.) on right sidebar while working in mail

Allow ability to see Calendar (or tasks, etc.) on right sidebar while working in mail. This was previously very helpful in past Windows versions

  16. Customize Toolbar

Would love the ability to customize the toolbar and be able to add shortcuts/links. For example, Webex integration is not working and I would like to be able to add a url/link to Schedule A Webex meeting on the Outlook Calendar Toolbar.

  19. Add copy paste of email and attachments

A hugely important and used feature within the MS Outlook workflow is to be able to copy emails by just selecting an email in the main list and doing ctrl+c. then allowing you to paste it as an attachment into emails messages. The only method to do this now is to manually save the email then subsequently attach is, which is very tedious in comparison. The other feature that is related but missing is the ability to copy attachment within email messages with a quick ctrl+c, so you don't have to save them first. PLEASE add these features as it…

  20. exchange active sync

Allow Outlook for Mac to communicate with Exchange using the Exchange Activesync protocol.

Some organizations only allow EAS as an external protocol for connecting to Exchange. They do this because of the level of control it affords them over the client device. For an individual wishing to connect they are therefore limited to mobile devices like an iPad or Windows 10 Mail.
