  2. Open Calendar in a separate window whilst keeping the Inbox open in a window

It's currently possible to have both the Calendar and the Inbox open in separate windows, by right-clicking on a sub folder in the Inbox and clicking Open in a New Window. But it's the first thing most people do, especially those who work with dual monitors. The UX should be much easier and more user-friendly. In Windows I can just right click on the Calendar icon directly and say Open in New Window

  4. exchange active sync

Allow Outlook for Mac to communicate with Exchange using the Exchange Activesync protocol.

Some organizations only allow EAS as an external protocol for connecting to Exchange. They do this because of the level of control it affords them over the client device. For an individual wishing to connect they are therefore limited to mobile devices like an iPad or Windows 10 Mail.

  6. Automatic setup of email accounts and general settings via configuration profile or script

In large Enterprises, the ability to deploy and configure applications silently and automatically for users is a key requirement for managing large fleets of Macs. Having the ability to set defaults via script or configuration profile and configure a user's email account automatically through the use of an MDM/Management System is imperative.

  7. Manage views and advanced view settings

The ability to edit the advanced view settings; specifically Fonts and Conditional Formatting (but all options columns, group by, sort, filter, other settings, conditional formatting and format columns as in Oulook for Windows). The ability to manage multiple view would be nice as well.

  10. Mirror the Windows version of Outlook

If a feature is available on Windows Outlook, it should also be available on Mac Outlook.
I know you had a 3rd party develop this software. You should make sure they know that ALL Windows Outlook features have to be available in Mac Outlook.

  11. Office 2016 for Mac should have the same features as Office 2016 for Windows.

Office 2016 for Mac should have the same features as Office 2016 for Windows. The current version of Office 2016 for Mac is a good improvement compared to Office 2011. At business I used daily Office for Windows and I would like to have almost the same features in the Mac Version. I thought the code base of office would be the same for both platforms. Apparently this seems not the case. This is disappointing.
For instance, in the Windows version of Outlook you can drag a message direct to the calendar in order to create an appointment. The message…

  12. Use Command K for hyperlinks

Use the shortcut Command K for inserting hyperlinks. This is the standard shortcut for inserting hyperlinks so I've no idea why it isn't being used in Outlook for Mac.

  16. Allow (email) folders to be reordered like on Outlook for Windows

Outlook for Windows allows the user to reorder his/her (email) folders in any way they want (see https://blogs.office.com/2012/12/05/reorder-your-folders-any-way-you-like-em/ ).

This should be possible on Outlook for Mac as well.

The order should also be synchronized through Exchange.

  17. Add support for TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2

Corporate Exchange Administrators have been asking for Microsoft to include support for newer secure protocols since Outlook 2008/2011 to support SSL 3.0 instead of just 2.0.

Now security has moved on and SSL is no longer accepted and TLS is required, internally 1.0 is still used but generally for Internet usage only TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are currently accepted.

Yet Outlook 2016 for Mac STILL does not support newer secure protocols, this causes Administrative difficulties as there's pressure to secure On-Premise exchange environments but this has the effect of preventing Mac Outlook users from connecting to their Mailbox.

    Please finally…

  18. Flatten the UI to match OSX

The current OSX verison of Outlook still feels like the previous version on the UI front with the icons and buttons inside the app. I would suggest using a similar set of icons that the Windows version uses and give it a flatter look at better alines with OSX.

Additionally improve the notification box UI so that it is flatter, and an overall cleaner look.

  19. Calendar thumbnail in mail view

In the windows version of outlook, we have the possibility to view upcoming events while in the mail view. I believe they refer to this as the calendar thumbnail. It's really convenient to have the mail window open and be able to glance at what my next event is on my calendar.

  20. Provide full operational features between Mac and Windows Client versions of Outlook

Provide full operational features between Mac and Windows Client versions of Outlook. If that is not something you are willing to do then please make the OWA fully functional with all features of the Windows client for exchange servers.
