  1. I suggest you change the colour of the Outlook for Mac dock icon. It's just too similar to word and is causes me confusion on a faily basis.

It's just too similar to Word's icon and it trips me up every time I switch between apps. Even just a bit more white on either of them would do the trick...

  2. Sync Errors window

I wish the errors, the “warning icon”, the whole sync errors window, and the fact that it needs to be “cleared” to dismiss the warning icon – ALL could be removed from the app or at least be disabled by default.

    1) It creates a sense that something is wrong – usually for no reason
    2) creates unnecessary questions
    3) creates unnecessary effort to clear the messages
    4) overall, is a distraction.

  3. Better Office for Mac Autocomplete Support

Throughout the Office suite, when typing text, Outlook, Word, etc. doesn't seem to honor autocomplete or offer word suggestions when you "arrow" your cursor next to the misspelled word. This is a feature offered system-wide on macOS. Please properly integrate into the Office for Mac suite (excel obviously works differently when typing in cells, so Excel may have an exception in that case).

  5. Seems latest version of Outlook is not meant for Mac!

So many useful features (recalling message, importing holidays) are not available in latest Outlook for Mac, it's disappointing! Basically MS is sending a message for NOT to use Outlook in Mac (particularly for corporate users)

  6. Accent colour in System Preferences does not change traffic light colour (graphite, dark mode)

I feel like the title bar of the macOS app should respect the accent I have chosen in preferences, Graphite should have grey traffic lights. Most macOS apps (first party e.g any apple app, and third party e.g Firefox) change the colour of the traffic lights to grey when you change the accent colour to graphite.

  7. Open all previouly open message windows on restart.

When closing Outlook and restarting it, only main windows get restored. Please add the ability to reopen all previously open message windows too.

  8. Allow users to define the "Theme Fonts" for Outlook emails and calendar items.

The preferences in Outlook allow a user to set default fonts when creating items, but this only applies to the first text entered in the message box. If the text insertion point is placed elsewhere, the text will be in the "Theme Font" that is listed in the font selection drop down box. This "Theme Font" is Calibri, and presently there is no way to change this "Theme Font". The result is messages done in multiple fonts, or constantly having to change stuff from the "Theme Font" to whatever the user prefers.

  9. Add a tab to the Mac menu bar

Add a tab to the Mac menu bar to show unread messages on which you can click to bring up Outlook window. This functionality exits in the Dock, but it would be great in the menu bar.

  11. To have an option to select which buttons to show at the top

My outlook for Mac as a LOT of stuff at the top that I don't use. Recently, one that I do use was removed, the mark as read/unread button which is still available on PC.
Instead of forcing people to use what you think is best, why can't we select which buttons we want ot display just like Finder on mac, or Explorer on Windows allows one to do?

  12. Automatic Updater

Listen to the user and when they say no to automatic updates, you NEVER ask again. No means no. It's a simple word. Is it too difficult to understand?

  14. Please, add the option for dark theme in outlook for Mac in Home and Student versions. The color combination is too bright.

I use microsoft office, specially Outlook, with dark theme at work in my Windows OS computer but my Microsoft office for Mac that I use at home does not have the option dark mode.

  16. Have your programs open in their designated desktops on macOS when told to

Basically every *other* application opens when assigned to a different desktop (e.g. Desktop 3, Desktop 5, etc), but all of yours (Outlook, Remote Desktop) do not. I have to continue to move your applications where they're supposed to go when opened, and it's like corralling cats.

    Fix this.

  19. Include "Email from Template" under the "New Items" button on the ribbon

In the Ribbon, under the “New Items” button, there are options for Email, Appointment, etc. The same options are in the File Menu -> New. However, the File Menu -> New has 1 additional option: Email from Template.

Please add “Email from Template” to the “New Items” button in the Ribbon. See attached screenshot
