  1. conversation

    Conversation Archive Across Folders

The ability to select all items in the conversation across all folders not just view them in. This would create a more efficient use of time for people who have to archive messages. The current workflow is to archive the conversation from the inbox and then do the same in sent items.

  2. Get a better support system.

Have an additional option for Help/Support. Chat is not enough. Add phone support at a minimum. Ideally, add the ability to port in and be a real IT person.

  3. Change the color of bottom banner

Hi there. The current grey bottom banner takes a lot of space on the screen with very little information offered, and it makes the UI design look unfinished. Please consider change it to white to visually merge with the rest of the window, so that the overall look of the interface looks complete and final on a full-screen view.

  4. STOP adding feature and make features already in Outlook WORK!!!

Search is BROKEN and Documentation, Update notes and Support Information provide conflicting answers.

  7. Provide option to *DISABLE* drag-and-drop editing and "smart" text selection

Please provide option to DISABLE drag-and-drop editing and "smart" text selection.

These two "features" causes me a lot of grief trying to edit wordings of a sentence. While trying to deal with smart selection that insists on selecting the entire word rather than a portion of it (or selecting additional elements not intended) that some how turned into a drag-and-drop editing, which then further screws up the editing. Frequent undos resulted and resorted to deleting and retyping the entire word or portion of the sentence.

These features are supposed to help, not get in the way of the writer. I…

  8. Use local date format for tasks and follow-up

I have set the date format to YYYY-MM-DD but there are tons of fields where I soo or need to enter US format. Why is this so inconsistent?

  9. Add (optional) confirmation window before closing the application

pressing CMD+Q by mistake rather CMD+W closes the application.
I wish to have an option to enable a confirmation window which will prevent the application closing.

  10. I suggest you unlock the ability to add addresses in Outlook for the Mac OS version 16.37...I can't believe you just released an updated ver

Ok...I guess its a policy not to add support for customers who bought for Office 365 and use Google (Gmail) to add address editing to Outlook Contacts.

  12. Remove from signature templates

    Remove from signatures "He/Him/His", "She/Her/Hers" & "Them/They/Thiers". It's not necessary.

  13. To keep desktop version exactly the same as cloud version. Cloud is the best on usability now and i very much like it.

Cloud version now has the best usability. The only missing feature is native notifications on meetings. But i love how it filters to show only new content in the email thread. Great job!

  14. I suggest you enable RSS feeds for Mac

I suggest you enable RSS feeds for Mac. I really do. I know I'm not the first. I saw this posted previously and the response was:

"Thank you for your feedback, we have reviewed this feature, unfortunately, we will not be implementing this feature as this does not align with our overall goals. Thank you for your continued participation in making Outlook for Mac better."

Clearly we are not participating in making Outlook for Mac better. It won't happen because it doesn't align with "your' goals. I imagine the consumer goals are not important.

My question is, what does having…

  15. Autoupdate

AutoUpdate prompt that says "All apps are up-to-date." is quite annoying and just another bothersome click that I Have to focus on taking away my attention from what I want to do.

If apps are up to date then you can put a notification banner in the app but not in the OS as a separate app that makes the user do something,

    Please change this.

  16. Merge Accounts (365 and outlook.com)

I originally signed up for a Office 365 account using a Gmail address, not realizing Outlook also had a free account. I was switching internet providers and did not want to lose my emails and contacts. Since I had purchased the 365 product, I figured I would use the outlook program for my email, only to find out I could not import my contacts from my webmail account. The files were not compatible. Also not being able to access the webmail emails through the online outlook is inconvenient. Now I have a 365 account with a Gmail email address and…

  17. Add an Undo button in the Home ribbon

The undo feature exists with (ctrl|cmd)-z and in the edit menu, though those locations are pretty hidden. A nice prominent button in the ribbon would be convenient after accidentally deleting mail.

  18. Improve the notifications around emails that fail to send due to size to make them harder to miss.

Improve the notifications around emails that fail to send due to size to make them harder to miss. The pop-up notification is tiny, blends with the wallpaper, and is hidden behind other windows occupying the bottom left corner of the screen if you have already clicked away from the outlook window. These attributes make it very easy to miss that a large email has not sent but has been moved instead to the drafts folder. An email stating that your email has not been sent due to size would be much more effective and would match what happens when you…

  20. Enable date format to be set independently of language or region

I suggest you enable a user to set all dates, including on calendar, to allow for YYYYMMDD, which is the ISO date format. See https://www.is
