blocking unwanted senders email
Your new outlook version is still missing important items. One example: The older versions allowed you to hover the pointer over an incoming message & it would show who/the email address of the sender. And it allowed you a series of choices to delete or block the sender. This was very important to completely get rid of continuous junk mail or possibly email with Trojan horse--instead of opening and having possible problems.

There has to be some way to STOP all the **** email!
I WANT TO BE ABLE TO EASILY SELECT ALL SPAM ADULT EMAILS AND BLOCK SENDER AND DELETE. I'M SICK OF GETTING THESE UNWANTED EMAILS AND IT'S SO HARD TO FIND A MICROSOFT WEBSITE TO BLOCK THEM!!!!!!!!!!
Here is an idea:
When I choose to "BLOCK" unwanted email, I mean to block the sender from sending emails to me. That is not what is happening, I continue to get unwanted emails from sites I have "BLOCKED" What is the meaning of the "BLOCK" option?
Block sender's email so is returned to sender as undeliverable or failed delivery.
why have I lost the ability to block unwanted emails in my junk mail box and stop unwanted emails in my inbox?
I recently tried to block a junk email and ended up with an avalanche of junk emails from a wide range of sites. The delete them it is a two step process. First from thr junk folder and then the deleted folder. Once deleted from junk there should not be another step. Also a delete all button would help along with a block button.

I just found out that the "Block" function in the junk email folder does not block senders from sending me junk emails. Why is that? The "Sweep" function in the inbox folder seems to do its job, but not the "Block" function. I was just told that all the "Block" function does is prevent that email from appearing in my inbox folder. We need to design a function that you can click on and have the system prevent that email sender from sending any more emails to my address. I am currently going through 50 to 100 junk emails a day and a lot of them are the same people that I have been trying to get rid of.
Secondly, why is it so hard for a novice (although I've been a computer user for 40 years) to get a sender added to his/her safe sender list. Whenever I want to do that I have a lot of trouble just getting to the safe sender list. There needs to be an easier way to add a sender to the list. Make it available in a pop-up window so that we can right click the address, a pop-up appears, then we can either list it as junk or send it to the safe sender list. When I stay on the email sender and attempt to do it there always seems to be two addresses there. Which one am I suppose to add to the safe sender list? Or do I add both of them?
Outlook is a great email service and out of all that I have had in the past years, I prefer Outlook to the others, such as AOL, Comcast.net, MSN.net, etc. It seems that I always come back to Outlook, but I have been getting really frustrated recently.
Thanks for hearing me out.
