Ability to block entire domains not just individual adresses
I have litterally dozens of spam emails from phishing scammers coming from the same domain. I can send 5 or more different emails from the same domain and more show up hours later make the option to block domains in their entirety more visible or make it an option. I've checked PC and mobile versionz and neither seem to have this functionality.
Everything ive been reading on this problem seems to point to one thing , google know about the problem but dont want to fix it , seems some so called independent advisers say close down your hotmail and open up a gmail account as they have better spam blockers which makes me wonder if its a tactic google is trying to get more hotmail users to go to gmail then they could spy on you more .
Please fix this! I was recently able to check a box on the popup confirming that I would like to block the entire domain and not a specific email address. The emails then never even ended up in my junk or deleted folder. This feature recently vanished and now I have to wade through all of this junk mail in my junk folder again.
Like many people, I cannot get rid of appspot.com emails, is there any way this domain can be taken down?

I got a simplest solution !!!!
Very Very Simple. I also got emails bombarded into my Junk with appspot.com.
After so much frustration I got a very simple idea.
Step #1: "WHITELIST" the appspot.com in JUNK Email settings so that the traffic will be routed to inbox.
Step #2: Write a rule in the inbox to delete these emails automatically as they arrive.
That's it. It solved my problem.

The spam email problem is getting worse each week. I had to setup my email to send all my new emails to spam instead of my Inbox. I pay for Office and Outlook so I don't understand why nothing is being done about the spam and bypassing the filters.
Microsoft....you are useless unless you can help us block these GOOGLE spammers like appspot.com, etc. Get at it. You are suppose to be smart and Google is making you look like chumps at our expense.

Find a way to block whole domains like there was before this ****** upgrade. I get over 600 pieces of junk and phishing emails per month from the domain .xyz with no way to block the domain. This was a feature in settings for Junk Mail.

Outlook and hotmail should have the ability to block top-level domains with wild card capabilities (i.e., *.xyz) in the blocked senders list or junk folder configuration. Having a rule is not the request - I don't want to see the blocked message in my junk folder; I want it processed before IT HITS MY INBOX.
I nearly signed into this site when i searched hotmail...
Try creating a Rule. Rules is found in mail settings. There - create a rule that says "If sender's address contains these words 'appspot.com', delete the message." - Or create a simmilar rule for any spam domain you get. Like appspot.com mails often have a email like "firstname.lastname@example.org". And then they change the random parts. With that rule you just made - it does not matter what they change in the mail, as long as it has appspot.com in it.
If you're worried about your rule deleting legit mails - you can choose to send those emails into their own folder etc. Just have a quick look at the options available.
Do the same with any of the spam domains that you want. It should help lessen the spam. There will be new domains added eventually so this is not the end all be all solution. So if they move away from appspot.com, you will need to add the new one when it shows up.
Hope this helps o/

It’s a good idea to have the ability to filter out the junk and quite possibly eliminate several junk mail culprits with just one click. It’s also informative and helpful to see all of what’s coming in and from where.
I’m now hitting more than a hundred spam emails per day. This only began recently and there is no way to stop it/block it. The emails are from @vertical-aff.com domain with all different names and characters. I’ve marked 50 or so as phishing but they continue to come. We need to be able to block entire domains.
Block appspot.com !!
The junk mail and spam filters are not working. 75 percent of my email is now junk. Thinking of changing my email provider if the problem isn’t addressed soon.
How can I stop spam getting into inbox when I have already blocked the domain and set emaila to exclusive.
I too have gotten a ton of offensive email from the appspot.com domain, and blocking it in hotmail doesn't solve the problem. Furthermore, other domains with "icon" type characters (not letters or numbers) show up often with the icons being a clear indicator that the domain is the source of nothing but bad things. I really don't want to find this stuff even in my junk folder and think the option to send it directly to oblivion should be easy enough to implement.
They need a blocker or sweeper that can block a piece of an email address or words of a title or keywords.
I didn't know there were so many of us getting these ridiculous and disgusting appspot emails. They make up the vast majority of the emails I get! I block them each time but they keep coming. Whereas I've NEVER had a single junk or spam email to my gmail account. Microsoft needs to do better! Or try at all.
Is there any way to block all emails from anyone with "appspot.com" in their address? I get spam emails daily from addresses which include the date or other letters before "appspot.com" so blocking "@appspot.com" doesn't work. Is there any way to use some sort of "universal characters" to block EVERYTHING which has appspot.com in the name? For instance, would "@******.appspot.com" work as a blocking mechanism?
