Need a search box for Inbox rules instead of scrolling forever trying to find one.

For the love of the world..
Give back "Also move future messages" function back..
I used to filter emails so they end up in a folders (different folders for different senders, e.g., a folder for LinkedIn updates). I'd love to have this feature back. It's really a must for me!

It would be vey helpful for cleaning up a full inbox with thousands of messages to have a way to execute a rule explicitly instead of only apply it to new messages. How can I otherwise move/delete/... existing messages automatically?

when adding rules to add to a folder or mark to a category it only applies to up coming emails, it's more convenient if there's an option to apply the rule (add to folder or mark the category) to all the existing emails. (emails already in the inbox/ folders)
Inbox rules don't allow filtering adequate filtering with separate aliases. In many cases, when an email with a spoofed address (indeed, general clutter) comes in, often it doesn't have the email it was sent to attached. This means that they don't get filtered and remain in my inbox. Having a way to segregate an alias so that the emails coming from that alias can be boxed off, would be extremely helpful.

Need to improve rules and filter ....when we create rule pls ask what can do with particular message and apply all message or specific message just like gmail rules it has very easy to use

Please allow for filtering of past messages by condition. Cannot do so right now. While I can add a rule to filter new messages by a specific condition, I can't do the same for old messages that match that same condition.
When creating a filter to send emails in my "Inbox" to a specific folder, it would be nice if after creating the rule, all emails affected by the rule were automatically moved to that folder. Now, it requires going back and manually selecting and moving the emails to the folder. Thank you.
You have given new sweep rules, but it is not as good as outlook desktop version. I have created one rule but it is not working but it was previously working on old outlook web version. And you should give option to run rule for existing mails.

When I create a rule to direct emails to a particular folder, the email should be moved to the folder automatically without the user having to manually move the email. Thank you.
Delete junk mail completely instead of sending to delete folder

There are only TWO Filters I actually use, and I think most people are the same:
Move all messages from this person to Folder
Move all messages from this company (domain) to Folder
It would be amazing If I could sort a message (and future messages) in this way right from the inbox without having to go into the long-winded filter dialog - 99% of which I don't need!! Its such a pain - I stopped doing it already.
outlook needs a better way to get rid of spam. When put it in block or phishing spam, it should automatically delete it not get put back into the junk file.
give us the capability to delete spam and junk mail automatically. outlook needs a better system of getting rid of spam. When I put something under phishing spam instead of it automatically being deleted, it gets back into my junk mail. Also the sweep should have sweep not just to delete but to be able to put it in our folders.
Please allow on Outlook.com the same feature that is available on Outlook for Desktop: running existing rules on all e-mails from the inbox.
Goal here is to allow for newly created rules to be applied to e-mails that were already received rather than only to new e-mails.
Absolutely. This would be very good. Also the ability to specify "older than x days" as a condition. Essentially combining the semi-functional "sweep" feature with the rules.
Do rules work at all?
I agree with you.
I like that I can create a rule. You may want to add an option to run the new rule on items currently stored in a user's Inbox folder. I created csuch a rule but was not able to find an option to do so after creating a rule to move existing messages from my Inbox to a designated folder per my rule.
Please let us run rules as and when we want, i mean even on existing mails at any time.
And dont let sweep function create a rule.
Ex: I'd want to delete mails from particular sender more than 10 days which are already exisitng, but i do not want that to become a rule and get applied ofr future mails too.
