Mass deletion after searching and selecting
Please make emails delete properly when searching for a specific sender and then you tick the boxes and press delete
I agree completely.
Inbox needs a feature or option allowing mass deleting of numerous emails/messages, at present point in time it takes an extremely ridiculous amountof time to go through folders/inboxes and slowly delete messages one to 4 or 5 at a time. After spending close to 2 hours on several occasions, where I finally succeeded in cleaning outthe clutter and unwanted mail/messages/etc. I was dismayed, crestfallen, and then quickly furious to discover that all my hard and time consuming work was for naught, becaus rthe message si had thiught I had just gotten rid of, were in fact still there in my inbox, and I had lost 2 plus hours of my life that I'll never get back. Suffice to say, but I am nearly completely swapped over to gmail.com now as my primary email provider and though I hate to leave hotmail since I have used you guys for the last 20 years, this is just a blatant showing of total disregard for your users comfort , peace of mind, and satisfaction within your programs etc, and the fact that you javent done anything to resolve this faulty **** despite numerous people asking you to, it just ****** me off. Thanks for the last 20 years of email, though the last five or so I have spent utilizing other companies, you were my first ever email account and I'll always have a spot for you in my heart. However Idont even know you anymore, and I have found someone else whom returns my affections and cares about hhahhaphhahhappiness. You stay gold pon-whoops I mean-Outlook.com!!!
Another lost long time user.

Still not working. This is a bug not a required feature.
Also want this feature
I hover over to find emails and the search finds them. I then check the first one then got to the last one and click Shift + Check mark and it checks all in between the first one and last one on that page and then I click delete. I do this on my computer. I do not know if it will work on a phone.
I think that this option is still not available. I tried to delete my search in outlook app for iPhone. Good feature to add..
Is it possible to delete search history in Outlook mail? I can't seem to work it out and have read some posts that is it not possible. Please make that happen it's important to have that power as you don't always want your search history to be visible. A history that can't be cleared is not really acceptable.
Please let me know if there's a way.
When clicking the Select All checkbox (which isn't obviously there, btw) in a folder (such as the Inbox), you get the option to "Select Everything In This [Folder]". This option doesn't appear when clicking select all in search. It'd be great to have this added to enable mass deletion of emails.
I had searched someone on suggestion (search) box, then I wanted to delete it. I realized that there is no button for deleting my recent search. I can't understand why there isn't deletion section. This feature must have been added!
Can't mass delete after reviewing emails. I have to delete one at a time. Then if I open the email, I have to go to the reply button and scroll to find the delete button. Both processes used to be easy and obvious. check my email, tick all that are to be deleted and delete. The rules do not work if the emails are random and require a review. Why was the buttons at the top of the pages removed? No longer easy and fast. Just time consuming and annoying.
outlook mail is harder and harder to use. when I search mail and want to delete them the top trash icon never show up which it used to be there
Your SELECT ALL OPTION doesn't work!! I want to delete my 100+ emails in one go. It only select all (4 emails)
Also I want to trash all deleted emails I have in one go. Same... only 4 emails got selected when I check on SELECT ALL.

hello. in the old outlook it was possible to select multiple emails, mark as read, and delete. in a single action.
this is no longer possible and it is frustrating. the best way now is to select, then delete. then go to the deleted folder, select unread, and mark as read.
it's a long way of doing something that used to be simple.
Why, after I run a search can't I delete? I've tried clicking on the trash can and checking the box and then clicking on delete. Nothing happens. Tired of having to delete items one by one or deleting from the inbox only.

I cannot delete emails for my inbox. If i search for an email, and I select a bunch of emails from that sender to delete- when I exit the search, the emails are still there. Please fix as soon as possible!!

when I search out a sender to delete bulk emails, I choose which I want deleted and when I click on delete, it will not do mass. Please advise why it is not working.
the fact that this no longer works made me even enter my own request for it. It's basic user interface design that if you have a button that is enabled such as delete is after a search, it should work. So not only does it not do what you expect but it silently doesn't do what you expect either.

When I search in the SEARCH MAIL AND PEOPLE searchbox, and I type in a keyword(s), after the emails I've searched for appear, I am unable to check the tick box and delete/junk/ them all in one, or even individually. Please can you put this in place so I can do this after I search something.
this feature clearly needs to be restored. Searching through the suggestions, there are lots of complaints about using search and not being able to basically do anything with the results except one at a time.
Issue with outlook mail file management:
In a search list, if I select (by checkboxes) a group of files and select "delete" or "move", the location shown for these files does not change, so it is impossible to tell which files have been moved and which are yet to be moved unless I exit search and then re-search.
