Let our previous sorting rules carry over!
None of my previous sorting rules work now! EVERYTHING is going to my junk box and the new way of sorting is tedious. Why can't my 485 rules carry over?! Make the sorting easier in general.

Please let us ADD A 'SORTING PRIORITY' TO OUR RULES, so that priority 1 rules are processed first and priority 9 rules are processed last. The default priority would be 5.
A lot of people want this rule and having it would make rules so much easier for regular ordinary people to make use of the rule facility, which is growing increasingly necessary as email volumes increase.
I have an rule that adds a category to my family, urgent, personal, confidential mail. I have another rule that does this for anything with words like receipt, invoice, subscription. I want these rules to stay at the top and be processed first, ahead of my other rules for filtering and sorting email.
UNFORTUNATELY every time a new rule is added it is added first, ahead of all the previous rules.
What I am asking for is the ability to add a priority from 1 to 9 to the rules. The DEFAULT PRIORITY would be 5. Rules could be manually assigned a priority to be first or last.
(Priority 1 to 3 or High, Medium, Low is inadequate because it is not flexible enough. Priority 1 to 5 would be adequate, but why not make it 1 to 9?)
I'd like this in both web-based Outlook Mail (Outlook.live.com) and in desktop Outlook (Outlook 2016).
Same for me! I dropped and recreated ALL my rules and it STILL doesn't work.
