New feedback from Outlook.com

I have been trying for two days to change my password for my Hotmail account. The other gmail and yahoo accounts I had I have not used in many years nor do I remember the password for them. Without these accounts to confirm who I am they will not let me change my password....it is frustrating me to death......when they said I could enter my phone number I did and it replied that this number was already associated with my account and to enter a different one. WHICH I DO NOT HAVE>>>>>argggggg.....why is this so difficult or is it just me ?
