The ability to add, edit and delete contacts in the "Outlook" app
Cheryl Nailor commented
I want to delete some people from my contact list but the delete feature disappears when I scroll down to the individual I want to delete.
I am also unable to revise current information for individual people.
Make it easier, I would like to be able to do these things without becoming frustrated and angry.
To outlook mail.
Please come up with a button next to an email to quickly ad it to my contact list.
Have the button open and give us the option to ad it to our custom list ... vendor, family, employees etc
Having to right click multiple times to open the email box, then having to scroll down to the right clicking that which says Add to Contacts is a painfully pain in the as.
Most the buttons that auto appear I don't need and never use.
I need to save contacts quickly.
Better yet have an option to easily activate to save all emails sent to me to my contact list or a list that I can later mark the ones that need saving is probably better.
I receive 50 emails, they go to a list with a check box as to whether to save or not.
But at the very least a button to fast add to contacts.
I go to reply to a person that I am sure their email is in my contact list,,, only to find that it isn't even though I have been sending and replying to this person one hundred emails.
A new email I am dead in the water and have to search for the email, capture the email or remember the stoopid process to save it.
How can you not see this problem
When I delete an old email address, it is deleted from the 'contacts' list, but when I enter the person's name as a recipient, the deleted (Defunct) address comes up as my first choice. How do I permanently get rid of it?
I'm sure you've heard this before because I've submitted it before and I consider it a bug or poor development strategy. I issue is when adding a "new" person into "people" with Outlook.com, that new entry does NOT get immediately stored/saved and made available to be sent an email and/or added to a group distribution list.
Any thoughts on how and when this issue might be resolved???????????????
Linked contacts is great but sometimes you want to clean up the contacts the right way instead of letting multiple instances of the same contact get linked from the same account. For instance, a contact that is saved with an email also has another entry that has the phone number. I like to be able to MERGE contacts so there will be one instance in Outlook so that when I linked other accounts like linkedIn or facebook there won't be like 7 other outlook entries linked. Its very, very unclean.

The worst possible way to ever organize contacts. I can't delete multiple contacts at once and when I even delete one, for some reason Outlook still has it selected so I have to keep clicking on clear selection each time I select another contact. How is a deleted contact still selected even if it's deleted? Come on, get it together, guys!
In OUTLOOK MAIL the SEARCH MAIL AND PEOPLE BOX-Does not delete names or e-mail addresses.
I find this unnecessary and annoying...WHY? Because they are OLD and NOW USELESS to me.
Kindly look into this, and hopefully you will agree, so that they will be PERMANTLY DELETED.
How i can delete a contac?
When managing contacts have the ability to edit a contact and show which lists they belong to and add/remove them from lists.
Can't see lists at all for individual contacts.
I recently sent an email for a someone who changed their email and it came back undeliverable. I cannot remove or update that the old email address for my contact list as it says recently emailed. I had to add another email and now they are both listed. In the future will I remember which is the current active email? Probably not.
This version of Outlook email is very disappointing. Is now very frustrating copying a new contact address to the people contacts list. Make it easy please. The previous version of Hotmail email was much friendlier and easy to use. This is NOT an improvement.
Have the capability to add contacts (do not make it so difficult to add someone to contacts. Just have one place to add on the left of the email.

Why not make it user friendly again! Although screwy **** you added and still can't edit contacts, add contacts or make groups without a degree in computer science. Talk about STUPID!
Complicating a working and usable product for sake of change is the absolute most ridiculous thing that Microsoft does and continues to do. What made your software amazing 30 years ago was the ease with which most users could navigate most programs - so what happened to that premise?

Make it easier to add and update contacts. Outlook is the hardest to manage. Contemplating switching to Google....its easier.

With one contact with two mailadress How do I delete one off them?
Used to be much easier to Save Contacts. You should be able to right click on any email address and get an option to 'Save Contact' or put a button next to them. This function was lost years ago.

Hi - For some reason my Deleted folder is constantly getting filled up with my Contacts. I am not performing this actions and they constantly re-appear when I add them back in to my Contacts. Thanks

The address book interface is ****. Why is there no option to delete an email address that is no longer valid.
This is the WORST contact management system I have ever seen! It would be a horrible pain to change email addresses for our local Interfaith group. But this is so horrible to use that I can't stand it much longer. I went to Hotmail originally for its simplicity, but you have changed it into something that is impossible to use. I can't edit addresses within a list. I cannot get rid of obsolete and incorrect email addresses. Sometimes I cannot add new contacts to a list, but I haven't figured out why.. Search does not take me to a name that I can edit. I must go back to my contact list and scroll down to that name in the alphabet list. The big print and useless colored dots make it impossible to look at a list of names to select.without scrolling and scrolling. I would love to change my view to a simple list, but there's no way to do that. Who is designing this mess?!?!?
