Adjustable column width
It would be great if you could let me adjust the size of the columns in my inbox. Currently the 'sender' column takes up more than half the space on the screen. This isnot ideal, as I do not regularly have senders that would be of such a length to utilize all of this.
It would be better if I could see the subject and more of the message preview than a lot of blank space for the sender field
1) As the customer of the outlook mail, I would like to have the ability to change the dimensions of the inbox items. Like you can with the folders column. Ex: Increase or decrease the width of the sender/message title/date received columns.
2) I did like the old system where it told you haw many e-mails were contained in each folder (at the bottom of the page).
3) Thank you for your time and consideration.
Please revise to allow more column space for the received emails SUBJECT line to be viewed in the mailbox. With the folder column necessarily present, the FROM line (Given ample space), and the VERY large AD space column to the right, I cannot see nearly enough of the subject line. Nor can I see a setting to allow me to adjust for it. Outlook is becoming too frustrating and becoming non-functional. I may need to make some other my primary if, this one remains this way, truly. I used to prefer it over my Gmail box.
Allow for people to adjust the width of their columns in their inbox. The subject line is currently cut-off, how do I know it's even safe to open any email with it like this? I need more info about the emails coming in. Without a subject line I could miss an important email, or a time sensitive one. I don't think there is anything more important than the contents of an email, which with out it, none of the other things matter. Thank you.
allow for manual re sizing of to/from, subject, and date columns in my inbox.
My computers are not super wide screen and this is a problem as I cannot read the subject titles more than 2-3 words in. This is because the 1st column to/from/sender is showing the full name which for some people includes their name and email address.
This inbox is quite useless to me compromising the key function... what these e-mail subjects are.
Inconvience, please fix asap
Allow re-sizing of Inbox Display Columns, eg, the first column is too wide. Most of my senders' names are about the same width as your "Microsoft Family" or "Bing Rewards," leaving the second column a bit too small to be able to read the Email Subject, which is almost always the longest field in an email heading.
Yes I need this back! These changes are terrible.
Outlook Mail - Please allow sizing of columns
Regarding the new Outlook.com look as viewed on a desktop pc: The first column it too narrow in width. Even though I have the default setting of Sender as the first column, the width is still too narrow. Many of the sender names are cut off (...). Switching to the Subject being displayed first, which I don't like, results in plenty of width for Sender as 2nd column but then the Subject is almost unreadable due to narrow width. Resizing the browser window does not appear to affect the column widths. I realize adjustable widths would be considered a premium feature, but I urge you to consider the following:
Make the first column a little wider and the second column a little narrower.
I do like some of the other improvements - thumbs up. But the above problem became immediately apparent in the new look.
the folders column can be dragged wider or narrower, but the message description (sender, subject, date) is a fixed width and too wide. There should be individual column borders and they should be able to be widened or narrowed so the line doesn't stretch all the way across the screen, or you can show more or less of the subject line while showing less of the sender line.
I want to be able to widen the sender column and narrow the email title/description column. Almost all of my senders are cut in half making it difficult to see who they are at a glance.

Your new display is terrible for smaller screens. I can't adjust the size of the subject column and now I can't see the dates the messages arrived. There is no scrolling bar across the bottom of the browser window to allow me to slide over to see the dates. You should make these columns adjustable in width!! Similar to what I can do between my Folder list and the message display.

In the mail, in all the folders, the message layout if you choose magnification of j125% or more - essential for those with sight issues - you can no longer see the date/time of the messages. It would be helpful if the 3 columns could be size adjusted by the user, who can decide how much of each column is useful for their needs.
