The background in Outlook is too white and eye straining. Need the ability to adjust the color theme to include the background color as well to increase readability.32,650 votes
Thanks for taking the time to give feedback, we are working on improving this :)
I prefer to look at the e-mail in a larger reading pane. If I'm looking at a picture ,
I like to see the whole picture in the reading pane rather than scrolling thru the screen. I don't want to reduce the size of the picture to a thumbnail size to see it all either.121 votes
Is there a way to permanently adjust the size of the reading pane? I've got it on the bottom, but every time I go to read something I adjust the height of it so there are only two messages showing above. Then I switch folders and I have to adjust again. This is really annoying. Please make it so if I adjust the height, it stays that way until I change it again.35 votes
MAKE YOUR LAYOUT EASY TO USE. Having 4 squares in the upper right-hand corner is wonderful but, they have no labels and it's not a very user-friendly design. Please rethink.35 votes
Change my e-mail page back to the one I had before please. I hate the new one.26 votes
Any danger of being able to read anything/ access anything at all?

Make it simple to read an email like in earlier versions. I do not know how to achieve this. No requirement to select functiond people do not understand21 votes
Could you please give the option to condense the "pinned" items of the inbox so that, if a lot of emails are pinned, they don't take a huge portion of the inbox? It used to be set up like this for the "flagged" items... you would only see a certain number at the top of the inbox and then have the option to expand the flagged to see all. This way was so much easier than having to scroll down several pinned emails. Thank you!18 votes
It seems not to be possible to expand the reading pane as it was with the old version. Please reintroduce this facility.18 votes
Each time, I want to "reply" to a mail but the button is now located on the top-right of the mail. Before this button is was in the toolbar. It's a little lack of time to say me "ah yeah, the button is now located here".
Can we have the option to move the button like done before ? It's just an ergonomic idea and the new version is very great.
Thanks you and have a nice day ! :)16 votes
When I click on an email in Inbox that I have already replied to - at the moment it's showing the message: "You replied on 00/00/0000 00:00."
However, if I actually wanted to see what I replied, I'd have to go back to "Sent Items" and browse through in order to find which one. The inbox part should be a bit more intuitive and the message: "You replied on 00/00/0000 00:00." should have a drop-down menu that actually shows my message.
There used to be a view option - a small icon of glasses at the bottom right corner of the horizontal KINDLE FIRE HDX screen. I liked the inbox emails list to the left. But now the view option isn't available. If something works don't charge it.14 votes
What on earth has happened to the option to view only Unread or Read mail? This is absolutely crazy, I was able to do this a week ago when searching or changing views. Now the option isn't even here anymore.
This is super basic functionality and this "update" has just made hotmail/outlook online/windows live mail a **** of a lot harder to use.
Please get it together, this is just silly.14 votes
I used to be able to click and be able to expand the email.
I seem to be limited to a tiny window, now...the side bars are huge and I can't reduce the one on the right, only the ones on the left.
I'm not very pleased with this upgrade.14 votes
The header of the displayed email preview (with the email sender's info) is too large (tall). Please shrink it down so more of the email is visible.13 votes
Add ability to pin/flag messages, when reading said message.13 votes
In Outlook Mobile, Search function on mobile device not only list local items (those can be opened), but also server items nad make them accessible/downloadable right away. Currently when the relevant item is found and if not locally downloaded, it is not possible to open (get an error message, meaning that access to a PC is needed--or the web version of outlook)12 votes
Almost every time I click on a junk mail message to open it and read it, it instead creates a box along all messages to select and delete. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to open a message. It should be easy to do it, like clicking on a link or a button12 votes
I don't think it is a good thing that the email you select automatically is marked as read.
I would like to preview it first. If it is a spam/junk/whatever I want to delete it without it being marked as read.12 votes
My idea is to let us see all the emails in our inbox and not hide unread emails and other read emails and make it impossible for them to be found. I guess I will log in tomorrow and hope Outlook is in the mood to let me see my messages, as some day I can see them and other days not12 votes
